RPI Hockey 2014-2015 Part II: Dedicated to Rich Curadi

Re: RPI Hockey 2014-2015 Part II: Dedicated to Rich Curadi

R-e-l-a-x he has a lower body Injury. I won't disclose it so clarkson and slu trolls don't read it and tell there players to target it

That doesn't sound like what SA said, not that it isn't true.

He said "coach's decision", not "healthy scratch". As the old saying goes, "The better part of valor is discretion." Rather 11 forwards now than 11 forwards for the rest of the season.

Actually 10 forwards since the 11th was Bokenfohr.

Trolls? I completely object to this statement! ... Clarkson fans can't read! ;)

One thing you will learn when it comes to rvd and this team: Rvd's grammar may be atrocious, but when it comes to factual content, he is NEVER wrong.

I don't know who is feeding him the info, but I stand by my earlier statement......he is wrong!

Hmm...

I was just scanning the "ECAC Pick the Standings Contest" thread, and at the outset of the season, a quick glance indicates that most of us had expected the team to finish ~ 6th to 8th.

Now we are seeing the season play out pretty much as we expected it to from the outset: a year to build a platform for future growth next year, but not a year in which we'd expect a top-flight performance.

So much angst for getting what we anticipated?

I have a pretty good idea who is feeding him the info (won't disclose to protect the innocent), and I stand by my earlier statement......in terms of factual content about this team, he is NEVER wrong.

If anything, it just proves the point trying to be made. We all want the best for this team, and are disappointed with the results. Are there going to be tough seasons? Yes; there's no denying that one. There comes a point, though, when terrible results lose their crutch of "rebuilding", and we need to move on to where we can actually create a powerhouse.

We have so many Injuries every year appert should of brought more freshman in and had a fuller bench that's on him

We have what seems to be a relatively high number of injuries in the past few years. I'd defer to you on what's going on there, but given her majesty (SAJ) touts the new training facility, it makes we wonder what's really happening.

Regarding the number of kids, is there either a league and/or NCAA rule(s) limiting how many roster slots there can be, and if some players would be able to be on both the club and varsity squad, possibly rotationally, in order to get them some minutes and fitness? I'm almost sure the second point is an absolute no-no, but I might as well ask the question.

To the best of my knowledge, there is no limit. There is, of course, the limit of 18 scholarships, and there is also a limit as to how many players those 18 scholarships can be divided up to, but it is quite high. I suspect that the layers on the club team are nowhere near good enough to play D-I.
