Re: RPI Hockey 2014-2015: Dedicated to Rich Curadi

I am back. :)

Boy, miss one day and return to discover Ralph departed, (not like the other Ralph/Rolf) and has already returned--Thank Goodness!

Remember, "no heavy lifting" You will have to wait to throw Flagdude off the 7th or 8th floor/story balcony ;) :p

Re: RPI Hockey 2014-2015: Dedicated to Rich Curadi

"Brake Time" is clearly a pun, since it talks about stopping a losing streak. The issue is "Premiere Talent." "Premiere" is a noun or verb, while "premier" is the adjective.

You're most probably right. :o

Do you think the TU thought that RPI was playing BU today, given the lengthy game story? Of, wait,. tomorrow Siena and Albany play peachbaskets and every column inch will be about their game. Union's got Saturday night off... say, do you think Mongo could go three minutes with with Jimmy Patsos and Will Brown... a coach on coach on coach wrestling match? Now that would sell tickets at the Times Union Center!!

Re: RPI Hockey 2014-2015: Dedicated to Rich Curadi

This seems to be out of the past since one can watch the games from the comfort of your home now with RPI-TV, and it seems like a decade since the last time that the RPI alumni association has arranged for broadcasting in sports bars. According to an email which I received and a link to http://alumni.rpi.edu/s/1225/index.aspx?sid=1225&gid=1&pgid=13&cid=664 the Cornell @ RPI game will be shown in sports bars in San Diego, Los Angeles, San Juan PR, Atlanta, DC (Arlington VA), and Hartford. The DC one is the only one which specifically mentions participation by a Cornell alum club. In the past there were dozens of locations doing this.

Hope the Nanne kid comes back after this injury. I know if I was his dad I would put him on the next train out of Troy

The link to SA's postgame interview is on the Harvard thread. Supposedly he will be OK by then.

And where is he going to go?

What you say makes zero sense. And that's saying a lot coming from me.

He shouldn't have played he was still hurt daaa. Does everything have to be spelled out for you?
Where would he go? Really? as far away from Seth as possible. Are you really that naive? You think he couldn't find a competitive place to play hockey when he totally recovers.

The phrase "when he totally recovers" is a heck of a lot different from this second. The kid's a draft pick, I'll give you that, so you say the Wild are going to sign a 7th round pick (not 1st or 2nd, but 7th) now, instead of waiting for him to show what he can do with an entire year's worth of college hockey? Doing that would effectively be career suicide, showing that when the going gets tough, he'll just cut and run.

If he wants to go to MJ next year, that's his prerogative, but I very highly doubt he'll bolt mid-season. A mid-season bolt happens VERY rarely, and under VERY special circumstances. This is not one of those circumstances.
