Re: RPI Engineers 2016-2017: 10 Years on
Just went through the exercise of looking at each of the ECAC teams: the amount of talent lost to graduation and their success in recruiting. Once again I see RPI on the cusp of making/missing the playoffs (I picked them for 8th in the ECAC poll thread). Some really good looking recruits again this year, but as has been the pattern for RPI for many years now they did not land any of the US or Cdn U-18 team members or camp invitees (most ECAC teams manage to snag one or two). So, I expect that again this year the Engineers will need to be a hard-working, disciplined team with outstanding goaltending if they are to make the playoffs. Looking forward to the season.
