RPI @ Denver 10/18/2014

Re: RPI @ Denver 10/18/2014

That has got to be up there with the worst periods of hockey that I have witnessed from the Engineers.

Just clicked on a few moments ago-only one question coming up for me. Why in the world, when you have not scored in two full games and have created almost zero offensive chances, do you suit up and skate 8 defensemen? Unless all your forwards are hurting or academically ineligible, I have to add this to my list of puzzling coaching decisions made.

Re: RPI @ Denver 10/18/2014

Sometimes I wonder if the administration wants the hockey teams to suck in order to get them to fold so they can get sports that ESPN likes as the school looks to go D-I. Sure, they made some renovations to the HFH, but I'm pretty sure the ice, specifically the southeast corner, was not part of those renovations, and that HFH will be re-purposed to a basketball arena.

Appert doesn't know how to coach offense. This is why any halfway decent NHL-worthy forward immediately bolts for the pros.

Another conspiracy theory.

Sorry to say, business as usual.

Yep, another season, another non-competitive team. While we are at it we might as well go for the longest all-time Div 1 scoreless streak. We might see Diebold today only because Kasdorf may bolt before the game is over.

Great question, especially if one of the guys is going to get booted nearly immediately....WTH?
