PUCKMAN RULES!!!
I don't know where this team is going. They have played three very close games in a row with nothing to show for it.
Maybe tonight they will find a way to win one.
Lets go RED!!!!!!!!!!

Before the game i had thought the match up with Harvard was not all that bad for us. First period we had some good chances and the game could have been a one goal game either way. Second period we were not the same and were out played and out hustled and fortunate to have ended the period tied. Third period has showed our recurring problem of giving up that one goal or making that one mistake late enough in a game and without having the potent offensive squad that can come back often enough, end up having to pull the goalie and give up that empty net clincher. But this is still a fun team to watch and there is potential there. Tonight might be a more difficult task though as Dartmouth is a different style team to face.

Girls were simply overwhelmed by a much better and coordinated Yale team right from the opening drop of the puck. Hopefully this afternoon against Brown will be a closer match up.

There was a post on the Harvard thread by someone (i don’t want to mention his or her name in here). Anyway, they called RPI “a godawful hockey team with no offense, a defense who can’t get the puck out of their own end, and couldn’t beat the better high school hockey teams in the state”. Was anyone there last night who could comment on this? Anyway, we get the rematch on Freakout night!

Isn't Massachusetts, like Virginia and a couple of others, a commonwealth, not a state? Or is he referring to Minnesota? ;)

People say a lot of things and talk is cheap. And remember that the source is talking about Massachusetts which is probably not on you list of top places to live these days!!

Harvard has 10-15 NHL draft pics on their roster every year and they haven't won shit. By reasonable measures I would say Harvard is a god awful team?

The women were shutout, 4-0 by Brown.
Is WRPI broadcasting tonight’s game?
Odd game - women out played and out shot severely but the score is misleading. First Brown goal went off the skate of Iginla and might have been kicked (but not overtly). Second Brown goal deflected off our own defense lady into the net. Score remained 2-0 until late in the third period when Brown took a penalty and we gave up a short handed goal with a turnover at our own blue line. And of course finished it off with an empty net goal. We had a few chances to score but the vast majority of scoring opportunities were from Brown. According to our coach we were playing severely short handed due to injuries and only had 5 skating defensive players (one of which was a converted forward). Deserved a loss but just an odd assortment of goals scored.
