RPI@Colgate 2/8/25

They actually dominated most of the period. Smolinski hit the crossbar right at the end of the PP. If they can play like that the remaining 40 minutes, we could have a shot at winning this one…

For those who are not watching this game, there must be about 500 fans at best in the stands. The women’s game at HFH probably drew more…

Just listened to the Sudbury Wolves (Krawchuk & ZIliotto) during our intermission and heard a 1:45-long lesson on how not to score on a 5x3 power play by Sudbury. Krawchuk came in earlier in relief after Sudbury's starting goalie gave up 3 goals on the first 4 shots.

What a difference an intermission makes. Been all Colgate this period. Giesbrecht was out of his crease on the first Colgate goal and was screened on the second one.

Shots on goal:
RPI - 20
Colgate - 30

RPI needs shots on goal, along with preventing Colgate from shooting this 3rd period. If Colgate has another period like the 2nd period, they will end the game in the high 40s, possibly 50s for shots on goal.
