Re: RPI @ Colgate 2/21/15
WRPI just pulled the plug.

It will be interesting to hear the silver lining that our coach finds about this weekend. We gave one away yesterday and we should not be as close as we are tonight. Kenny G may well be the best player on the ice for us tonight as at least he is shooting and moving the puck up ice.
I am even more troubled as i see boys start the season and often start their careers as freshmen and do these things naturally. But as the season and the years progress, they seem to get into 'bad habits'. this team just is not fundamentally sound. Facefoffs and special teams are main culprits, but by no means the only ones.Another Colgate flurry toward the end of the period where we couldn't get a touch. I noticed that 4 of our guys all skated out to the puck carrier at the point, leaving three men open for a pass. Where is the communication and defensive coordination? This is akin to young kids playing soccer - I call it herd ball - where there is a scrum around the ball and absolutely no spacing. What kills me is that this isn't being corrected. No learning curve.
End of 2 at Ithaca. Cornell still leads 2-0.
Make it 11 periods.

FWIW, we are leading in faceoffs today.

And if they don't start scoring soon, they are going to find themselves looking up at Brown, who is leading the Q 2-0![]()
We have one shot in 8 minutes. Are we defending a lead?
The streak is over in Ithaca. A PPG by #26 cuts the lead to 2-1.
