Re: RPI @Clarkson - Game Two 3/7/15

We have not won anything yet.
They are a good team with a lot of pride and will come out hard.
They have their backs against the wall.
This series is a long way from over.
Our boys have a lot of pride and showed it.
The last game of a series is the hardest to win.
We need to play our game again.
We have to stay out of the penalty box.
The first goal is very important.
We have to play in their end.
We are playing in their barn with their crowd and they will come out hungry.
We have to survive those first 20 minutes.
We have to be a physical team but we have to play smart and aggressive.
We need our seniors to step up.
They have a proud program.
We have to play the right way.
It ain't over 'til it's over
We need to play all 60 minutes.
We have to want this more than they do.
I think that covers most of the cliches for tonight.
Guys, just end this tonight as i have a lot to do Sunday and I would appreciate it greatly if i am not going to be spending Sunday night listening to anything except old 5 rock and roll from the 50's and 60's while driving back from a late dinner. Let's Go Red!!!

You left out "win one for the gipper".

Remember that this is a late start. 19:30 ET at the earliest; could be later if the chicks decide they want free hockey.

Re: RPI @Clarkson - Game Two 3/7/15

Last night was the first time that I can remember an RPI team coming out pumped for the third period. Usually we are the ones on our heels while the opponents take the offense to us.
I hope they can remember what they did and do it again tonight.

Since we can't score, get 3 goals and you win.

{Depressed}

Joe; I could have posted the same exact thing. I am a little less depressed though but after the past year Jen and i had, it will take a lot more than one win in Potsdam to get my spirits up much. Now, 2 wins there would help a bit more.;)

RPI needs to play this entire game the way they played the third period last night.

Listening to SA’s Postgame last night he kept stressing how CCT would come out for tonight’s game & we have to be ready. I’m hoping that’s just for media fodder & behind closed doors he’s telling the boys, “YOU be the ones to come out mad as hell!! It’s your puck....it’s your ice....it’s your oppurtunity to win in 2”.

Re: RPI @Clarkson - Game Two 3/7/15

Notre Dame's hockey team couldn't win one for the Gipper yesterday. :D It was good to see them push Union out of the record book.

Also pushed Dick Greenlaw out of the books.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>...The record for most saves in a Division I game had stood since December 1965. (Dick Greenlaw, 78 for RPI vs. Boston University)</p>— John Buccigross (@Buccigross) <a href="https://twitter.com/Buccigross/status/574192782878728192">March 7, 2015</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Obviously, he still holds the record for a regulation game.

And Dick Greenlaw's record is a much more noteworthy item. Recall that he was the emergency back-up, as well.

Re: RPI @Clarkson - Game Two 3/7/15

No changes is great-means no injuries last night and that SA was pleased with everyone's effort. Do we know who the officials will be? Can we guess what they are going to call with 2 minutes left in the game this time? Perhaps closing a glove on the stick?

Maybe you should buy some tickets in the front row, and if the refs get out of hand, have Jenny stand up and start waving that fiery Italian pointer finger at them....then they'll think twice ;)

Refs; Scott Whittemore Ryan Knapp.....Linesmen; Cameron Lynch &

Whittemore & Lynch were the 2 refs last night for Cornell/#26. Knapp & Taggart were the 2 Linesmen in our game last night.
