RPI @ Clarkson, Friday, 11/6/2015

Re: RPI @ Clarkson, Friday, 11/6/2015

Other scores, near end of 2nd period...

Harvard & Yale tied at 1
Dartmouth 4, Brown 3
SLU 4, Union 3

I have been waiting for the referees to take over this game, and now I think we will see that in the third period. Not good for the Engineers if that happens.
EHF: Although it is going to be hard to do, we have to avoid even giving them any opportunity to make a call. Thee were some obvious penalty calls let go so far but you can just feel they will start the whistles if given the chance.

SLU now up 6-3 with 3 to go in the second. Larries scored three in a four minute span. Kupsky, not Sak, playing for Union tonight.

And, of course, no matching call so it was a one dimensional rough.

They just showed a replay on the video, and there wasn't much reason for a matching on that one. He just came barreling in. Have there been some head-hits and cross-checks? Yes. What is called in the third is left to be seen.

Hi everyone, good game so far, eh?
Any time we can be on the road, especially in the North Country, and take a lead into the third period it is indeed a good game. We have had this situation fairly often this year but it remains to be seen if we have yet found the trick to holding and preserving the lead.

Not necessarily matching but what precipitated our #14 coming in was not exactly an invitation to a tea party. There were a couple of high hits that were just let go a minute or less before.

Totally agree Doc. Starting the third period on the penalty kill will be tough. Clarkson is going to see this as their chance to take over the game.
We need to be disciplined if we are going to win this game.

Out of here for a bit and off line-hope to be able to hook back up before this one gets too late or ends. We absolutely need the next goal and have to not get anyone else into the penalty box for some time. If they put us down by 2 men it would not surprise me at all.
