First period ends with RPI up 1-0.
My only concern after the first is face offs. We were awful in our zone especially during the penalty kill.

Surprisingly decent play by play on the video. Hope that is the way they keep it for the last 2 periods. Very sloppy first period and lots of missed passes and guys falling down from both sides. First glance makes me think we better keep this a 5 on 5 game. The Clarkson power play just seems far more organized and their point men are just plain better at keeping the puck int he zone. Seems are defense is getting a bit caught up as every so often you see a CCT forward get behind them on a rush. Face offs? Still a mjor problem in our end.

Our D corps is easily the best we've had since Grant Clitsome was around. Lots of talent, they're much more disciplined this year, and I'm not sure what they did this offseason but it seems like everyone's vision on the ice has improved dramatically.
