RPI @ BU, Sunday 10/5/25

Some good things so far. Moving the puck out of the zone a bit better. Offensive zone passing also a bit better than last year. Killed off the only penalty which is a surprise in itself. So far so good. Picture quality has been horrible here with freezes and jumping around but could see most of the period.

Shots and face offs comparable by my count. Cannot see life stats here. Trying to focus on #4 on defense for us as he was one question mark I had for sure.

Here at the arena… definitely held their own and I would say had the better scoring chances. They look more composed. Looks like this coach likes the stretch pass…

Second period looked more like BU took control. Feel lucky we only gave up one goal which was kind of a fluky one at that. Our chances far more limited. We had a few chances erly in the period but certainly not as coordinated as we were in the first. Killed off 2 power plays (probably would not have happened last year) but our power play needs work. BU got away with a couple though as our #11 had a very decent chance in front but took a slash to his left wrist that was missed. All in all -I consider this still better than expected for a first game against a top team.
