RPI at UVM 1/3/26 - Somebody has to start the new year right

Shots were 13-6 for RPI, who also dominated the faceoff battle, winning 14 out of 17 in the second period. Now all we need is a goal (or 2 or 3)…

The Vermont announcer, who keeps calling our goaltender (Terry) Sawchuk, has been playing up the play of the goaltenders in a game where the vast majority of the saves have been off clear shots from distance. Frankly neither team has generated many real threats.
Props to him for doing his best to make a pretty boring game sound exciting.

Well, he SAW all the shots so far. :)

We have left the pub early as so many folks there wanted to watch other more stimulating sports broadcasts. This has not been a very exciting game with more icings than I can count. Will have to follow along here for the last period if we can keep our eyes open.

5th time this year we’ve been shutout (if you count the exhibition game). Hard to win games when you don’t score. And now we get Princeton on the road who shut us out at HFH. Could be a long second half of the season.
