Just got a message from someone at the game - the RPI major penalty was also a game misconduct on #38 and it was for a shot to the head apparently. And yes, RPI defensively has looked like an entire different team from last year. Defending multiple penalties so far and as you mention a relatively long 5 on 3 without giving up many decent chances. Will chime in if i hear anything else

The announcers mentioned it was elbowing away from the play

Must have been a pretty good elbow to get a major and a game! In any case - nice to know we can defend on special teams at least in an exhibition game. Last year those situations were the deciding factor in many games.
