RPI at RIT, Friday, November 25, 2011

Re: RPI at RIT, Friday, November 25, 2011

RPI looks like a team coming off a long layoff. Hopefully they will find their legs in the second.
Defense was good, but not many chances for either team.

It remains to be seen which team will make the required adjustments between periods-this has not exactly been our strong suit.

Adjustments:

1. Need to break out of the defensive zone cleanly.
2. Need to maintain possession in the neutral zone.
3. Need to make passes on the tape to help retain control...

We have needed to do all of that since March 1985:)

RPI women now trailing Syracuse 2-1. Outplaying them, but a couple of defensive lapses.

Meanwhile, back at HFH the women have fallen behind 3-1. I'm impressed at how well the women's power play moves the puck but they lack the ability to finish.
