RPI at Maine 10/12/23 (season opener)

Only thing to be happy about is the score. out played and out hustled. With any sort of better luck Maine could have a couple goals easily. Watson has been sharp but has really needed to be. It appears we still give up the puck in our own zone far too often and lots of center ice turnovers. We have had a few very good chances and also could have had one or two more but overall the shots on goal totals represent how much the ice has been controlled. We are just not quite as fast as maine up until now and we have waved and missed at the puck a bit much. Hope we sharpen up but being a goal up on the road is far better than the alternative. Will probably be able to see the second period here and then head home.

RPI has no legs tonight. Really ugly stretch right now in the second period. Maybe this power play will shift momentum
