RPI at Colgate-Snowdown in Hamilton

I saw the game at Starr last year. Starr had another feature... during the intermissions Colgate provided food (mac and cheese, pretzels) for spectators. Starr was their hockey and basketball venue. the two arenas were adjacent to each other, sharing a lobby.

The seating for hockey wrapped around the rink, maybe four or five rows deep. It reminded me a little bit of Walker Rink at CCT. Union's Salt Dome had a little more seating than old Starr; somehow the Salt Dome manages to be more antiseptic than Starr.

Thanks for the update. I’ve been to Walker Rink in the past. The first time I saw it I thought it was their practice facility. There was only about 3 rows on the sides (row 1 was so low to the ice that if you were under 5 feet tall, you had to stand up to watch the game). And for those who did not know, Starr Rink was used in the infamous movie Shapshot.

Per Tom & Perry's point on the first round of ECAC playoffs... over the years, the pre-Lake Placid weekends often end up overlapping campus winter/spring breaks.

OTT! Score!

Slapshot? No!!! Loved that movie! That makes so much sense. Heard they were at the War Memorial in Syracuse and in Utica at the Aud.

Did you know The Natural was filmed in Buffalo at their old AAA facility? Johnny Bench played there.
(They have a new rink and they're playing Taylor Swift on the PA? Yiii. Why don't liberal arts schools like Colgate and Union have [passable] bands?)

I remember years ago when Colgate had a band and half of their songs they played were “Down by the Riverside”.

Tom: Colgate missing some pep in their step in the 2nd...
Nature abhors a vacuum. LGR! Very RPI...

Re: RPI at Colgate-Snowdown in Hamilton

I tuned in to WRPI just in time to hear three blasts of Colgate's goal horn. :(
