RPI 2025 Off-Season: Help Is On the Way

I suspect a lot of teams haven't posted rosters yet. Between CHL eligibility and yesterday's deadline to join the House Settlement (with new roster and scholarship limits) many are still in flux. We are seeing teams add players every day, which in come cases may also mean dropping or pushing out players that may end up at other schools.

Based on the posts above I just looked at the PC roster. It has been updated to say 2025-2026, but it only has 21 players. They added the German forward yesterday, but there will obviously be more additions before school opens. Since all 5 freshman listed are from the CHL they are clearly holding back on posting USHL, NAHL, etc. recruits. It's obvious that some players that expected to be Friars next season will be disappointed.

I wonder if one or two that I listed on our proposed roster a week or so back may still be in flux. The total may not change, but if we pick up another CHL player or one from the USHL, BCHL, etc. that got bumped we may also push someone out. That would obviously delay publishing our final lineup.
FWIW, the RPI women have been posting as Instagram for one new player daily since last Wednesday. https://www.instagram.com/rpiwhockey/?hl=en

Joey Henneberry and Ethan Elias either aren't coming or they forgot to put their names on the list. Henneberry would be a very big loss.

They were late adds. Let's hope they are still formalizing their admission. It seems pretty clear that the staff thought they were committed since someone on the inside told McMahon we have 20 newcomers and there are only 18 on the released roster.

Edit: It could be worse. Clarkson has their very highly regarded goalie recruit from the OHL, Parsons, on its announced 2025-2026 roster. He signed with the Ottawa Senators today.

In honor of Alexis Brunet, today is 3 July 2025. There are 94 days until RPI's next game.

This is based upon 5 October 2025 for the start of next season.

Glad to see that we finally have a roster. Even if two of our recruits are not yet on it.
Now lets see if the new coach can turn them into a team.
This is going to be a very interesting season. I look forward to it.
LETS GO RED!!!!!!!!!

If we don't get Ethan Elias, it's no doubt due to DrD not approving of 5'8" d-men. :D

I have nothing against defense men being a little under sized. As long as they can compensate by being superb skaters and can bench press at least as much as the other D-men!! I must say though that i am quite satisfied with what I have seen size wise from the early reports of the upcoming roster. If anyone was watching the NHL draft a week ago they had to notice that most of the early draftees were huge!!! And it is not surprising that Rullers was a player that Tampa was looking at. Doubtful they would be as interested if he was under 6' tall.
