Could be. It is illegal to pass a law that only impacts a single person. Whether you can penalize a single private institution for acting within existing laws seems to be in the same vein of judicial thinking. One thing is for certain, Harvard is going to go all the way to the supreme court with this one and they are going to bring much better lawyers than the admin has. And it would not surprise me if their lawsuit is joined by many other institutions that have foreign students. It's simply impossible to run a campus or a business with the day to day inconsistencies and short term thinking of this administration. So you think the administration acted illegally?
Ah yes the honorable Shirley Jackson. She is missed dearly lolCould be. It is illegal to pass a law that only impacts a single person. Now that all said, it might seem possible to scoop up skaters that may now shy away from ivy league schools. But then again, RPI just had a black woman as president who served in a democratic admin. In a rational world has nothing to do with the path ahead. Problem is... rationality no longer seems to be a virtue in government law/rule enforcement. So if I'm a Canadian kid - I might think twice about RPI and maybe avoid playing for a school in a blue state.
Who was the honorable Shirley Jackson? I recall and would like to forget the dishonorable Shirley Jackson.Ah yes the honorable Shirley Jackson. She is missed dearly lol

And this is the downside of disabling 'spell check'... but it is altogether appropriate to disable 'auto correct.'I always thought that Rensselaer was the word in RPI which was often misspelled.

Don’t even think about the possibility of losing foreign students. Not only wouldn’t we be able to field (ice?) a hockey team, but I’d imagine recitation sections would disappear in many disciplines.Could be. Good pickup. I like any player that’s listed as both “physical” and a “speedster.” Too often we get kids that are one or the other but not both. The only problem may be ECAC ref’s’ tendency to call penalties based on the violence of the collision rather than the legality of the technique.RPI appears to have landed Austrian commit from Madison USHL ....

I wonder if he’s the first example of a guy we got because he was over-recruited in favor of CHL grads. After he committed Miami added 2 centers from the OHL, one an ‘04 so he has to enter this year. Miami may have wanted Scherzer to push out enrollment for a year so his advisors picked up the phone to call Coach Lang(e).Scherzer was a Miami recruit.
Fortunately, I doubt anyone in the Trump Administration has a clue about Shirley Jackson, honorable or otherwise. She’s yesterday’s news.Who was the honorable Shirley Jackson? I recall and would like to forget the dishonorable Shirley Jackson.![]()
