At least at the moment, the band cannot be located behind the net as this is where the band-aid /temporary ice making equipment is located due to the failure of components of HFH's main refrigeration system. Reports are this issue will be rectified as part of a project (boards, glass and floor) next summer. This is also the reason why visiting teams must walk down the main floor seating aisle to access the visitor's bench. Previously they would use the Zamboni doors to access the locker room.cant wait for puck drop...the band like murley said should go back behind the net. all seats should be same color. they should rent of some of the suite for parties or gatherings sit with the president they should do some promo nights valleycats do this perfectly
About what we should have expected. However, I see a pretty distinct line between the top 5 (and I only include Union there because a few of their transfers look very impressive) and the bottom 7. I could see us beating any of the teams in the latter group. I could also craft a view where we lose to all of them. Yale might be the exception. So I see us finishing 6th to 11th and would consider home ice in the first round to be a successful season. If he somehow gets us in the top 5 Eric Lang should get a parade.RPI men's hockey comes in at 11 in the ECAC coach's poll. Full rankings below:

Eh about right. I would put RPI about where Princeton is. Brown lost way too much and SLU is not good on the backend.RPI men's hockey comes in at 11 in the ECAC coach's poll. Full rankings below:

I've been thinking about it, and in theory I would agree that's sort of where we should be. The one thing is, we are a team that has a new head coach, new assistant coach, and a team made up of rookies and transfers. If they mesh well from the start, we can definitely get the wins required to be in the top 8 plus. That being said, there likely will be some amount of time where this team is figuring out how to play together, and coaches are figuring out good combos for lines. Because of that, I wouldn't be suppressed if we don't start seeing the success we were hoping for until January or early Feburary with little games left to play. I think the real test of Coach Lange is if he can get this new group of players playing like a top half of ECAC team by the end of the season.Eh about right. I would put RPI about where Princeton is. I didn't know the ice refrigeration system was the cause of that. I had thought that the railing to those stairs by the Zamboni door just broke and they were too cheap to fix it!This is also the reason why visiting teams must walk down the main floor seating aisle to access the visitor's bench. All true. Maybe I’m just bullish on lang’s ability to get players to really buy into his system. Remember lang was mentored and coached with Riley at West Point. I would not be surprised this RPI team is the best condition team we have seen in a long time. Like you said it will take time to figure out line combinations but what I do know this RPI team will not be outcompeted or not be ready to play when the puck drops at 7. That ain’t happening with lang.I've been thinking about it, and in theory I would agree that's sort of where we should be. We have a lot of early-season games when the puck drops at 4 or 6.All true. Maybe I’m just bullish on lang’s ability to get players to really buy into his system.
