Re: RPI 2020 Off-season: Off-season Cancelled

And if folks don't like that smack down memory, I refer them to Riley Bourbonnais' hit on Jimmy Vesey in the 2016 Harvard playoff series in Cambridge. I dare say it was the hardest hit the golden boy received in his brief collegiate career ...😝 It was also the lone RPI bright spot in the series ...

Doherty would make a good addition for RPI. Tied for the team lead in goals, 2nd in points, and led Maine in SOG by a wide margin. Plus, he’s a senior which means he wouldn’t have to sit out a year. The team could use some senior leadership since we only have Billy Jerry and Linden Marshall as seniors next season.

And Alec Calvaruso. But your point remains, a grad transfer would be ideal to balance the classes, even just a little.

I hope you're right. He was HE's February POM. He started at Brown, then left for Maine... My guess is he'd want to stay in HE, but would love to have him!

Re: RPI 2020 Off-season: Off-season Cancelled

Marotte won ECAC GotY and Shafer won CotY. :(

Marotte for GOTY makes sense, but I'm bummed about COTY. I think the turnaround that Smith was able to put together in the middle of the season was more than worthy of the honor. That said, Cornell sitting atop the national polls with just two losses is always going to be an easy pick for the voters.

Doherty was indeed originally a Brown commit and enrolled for the Fall of 2015 semester, but left school before ever playing a game. I've heard the story second-hand so since I don't have direct knowledge I wouldn't repeat here. In any event, that's why he didn't play a full slate of regular season games for BJB Premier during the 2015-16 season.

When Maine is competing for a Brown commit, you know they've hit rock-bottom.

I agree. We also didn't win the other awards. (Reilly and I think Babichuk)
