Re: RPI 2015 Off Season Thread: Another Long Spring and Summer :(

Nothing happens in a vacuum we must remember that the GM in florida Dale Tallon was the GM in Chicago when they drafted BP and remember it was in the second round 59th overall hardly an after thought so it is no surprise he ended up there and when Ryan Haggerty was rumored to be leaving school the word on the street was he was going to sign with the Blackhawks then at the last minute He signed with the Rangers so one has to surmise he was on the Blackhawk radar screen at one time. BP seems to be on his way to a good NHL career and Ryan has met the challenge at every level he has played at so all he needs is a shoot hopefully Chicago gives him that shot !
.....may have just gotten harder for Haggs. Chicago just traded Brandon Saad to CBJ for 4 forwards; Jeremy Morin, Corey Tropp, Artem Anisimov & Marco Dano. Now any # of those could be packaged in another trade?

He probably won't get the number, but ... In honor of Brady Wiffen, today is 1 July 2015. There are 94 days until RPI's next game.

This is based upon 3 October 2015 for the start of next season.

Cam Hackett is apparently training in Sweden or Finland https://instagram.com/p/4hrUNzwGt8/.

That may explain the following tweet <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="de" dir="ltr">✈️ Amsterdam ✈️ Finland</p>— Cam Hackett (@CamHackett) <a href="https://twitter.com/CamHackett/status/614618337297965056">June 27, 2015</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Now I'll start worrying that he actually went there to sign.

Is it going to end up being like Ylae*, with the player that played with professionals in Europe?

After what happened with Dillon, I'm sure Appert wanted to approve this to make sure he didn't get screwed over again.

I agree completely. "Once bitten (or burned), twice shy."

From NYR Dev. Camp; (it’s Melanson Leslie)..... Leslie Treff ‏@HFNYRangers 8h8 hours ago
Drew Melandin is doing a lot out there, stick handling, vision, passing and took a big hit and got right back up https://twitter.com/HFNYRangers/status/616277445189214208

Turk-Yup. But i do not want hi to look too good in Ranger colors just yet. I think a full 4 year career at RPI would have him putting up some substantial numbers. Plus, we need his forte of making everyone around him on the ice look better.
