.....but, RPI Golfer Ben Robinson’s brother, G Mike Robinson, was drafted by the SJ Sharks.

He's a third round pick... off to UNH. (Or as they say on other some threads: University of No Hardware)

Now that the Blackhawks have won the Cup again, they have to pay the piper when it comes to contracts for vets and sorting out their players eligible for free agency. People will be paid, and some (relatively high priced) heads will roll out of town.

Just sayin' it's interesting that Brandon Pirri signed on the dotted line after a 'Hawks cup win, when the team needed some lower cost players to fill some slots on the team depth chart. And now the Chief wins again, and Haggerty skates into town while a promising, young (higher priced) goalie goes to Gotham. Hockey's a great game... and it's a business, too.

Nothing happens in a vacuum we must remember that the GM in florida Dale Tallon was the GM in Chicago when they drafted BP and remember it was in the second round 59th overall hardly an after thought so it is no surprise he ended up there and when Ryan Haggerty was rumored to be leaving school the word on the street was he was going to sign with the Blackhawks then at the last minute He signed with the Rangers so one has to surmise he was on the Blackhawk radar screen at one time. BP seems to be on his way to a good NHL career and Ryan has met the challenge at every level he has played at so all he needs is a shoot hopefully Chicago gives him that shot !
