RPI 2015-16 Preseason Thread: To Dream the Impossible Dream

Re: RPI 2015-16 Preseason Thread: To Dream the Impossible Dream

Oh man, that leg strength on Kenny G. I'm excited to see how he'll play with another year of training and maturity.
Today was the “ Shuttle Run” (skating actually). It’s done for time & there’s a minimum time expected by SA that all the players must hit. Any player that doesn’t hit it will be given every opportunity to achieve the goal. The catch? No time, no play. So, like you I’m excited to see how he’ll fair with, “another year of training and maturity”.

Re: RPI 2015-16 Preseason Thread: To Dream the Impossible Dream

Franks is starting the game vs. Tampa, just hit from 30. I assume Sturgis will play the second half; hopefully Sturgis misses a few.

Re: RPI 2015-16 Preseason Thread: To Dream the Impossible Dream

Franks did all he could: Made two extra points and the aforementioned field goal. Hopefully he survives the cut.

Re: RPI 2015-16 Preseason Thread: To Dream the Impossible Dream

Franks is the only player listed in the box score as having attempted any placekicks. He made his only field goal attempt and was 2-for-2 on extra points.

Miami scored a touchdown in each half, so it would appear that Sturgis was not called upon in the second half, either.

Today is 4 September 2015. There are 29 days until RPI's next game.

This is based upon 3 October 2015 for the start of next season.

Funny that Milos should win that. It was him I was talking to yesterday who told me it was Shuttle day. Just to make certain; it wasn’t him who told me the other part of my original Post. Edit; maybe I’m reading that wrong......Liljegren looks to be the Shuttle winner.

Bubela won the 20-yd.

I read a piece on the Miami Herald site last night --beat reporter called it a coin-flip between Franks-Sturgis. There isn't much financial incentive in canning Sturgis as he isn't making much, but he wasn't very good at all last year and Franks' very solid camp along with the other moves the Fins have made make me think he has a great shot at making squad. If they believe he's mature enough to handle a packed stadium, I think he makes the cut.

Re: RPI 2015-16 Preseason Thread: To Dream the Impossible Dream

Corporate suites? how many corporate executives currently come to HFH?

or maybe Shirley wants them to entertain her guests....

I suppose it depends on what your definition of "corporate" is...If you're looking for Jeff Immelt, then I can't help, but in just the two immediate rows in my section my neighbors include a car dealer, owner of construction firm and a partner in a large medical practice...

That said, the three "boxes" HFH currently has are nothing more than dark musuems with SAJ occasionally gracing the larger one with her presence with some alumni. It'd be nice if AD McElroy could see to it that the "Common folks" could have a shot at renting one for parties and special occasions...

Football: RPI 35 Norwich 0 at the half.
And the score does not accurately reflect the statistics well enough. The spread could be another 7 or 14 points. RPI sitting much of the juniors and seniors to start the third period. BTW looking at the roster, is this perhaps the heaviest incoming freshman class for both offensive and defensive front lines? We may have to raise our donation to feed them! Several over 300 pounds.
