RPI 2013/14 Part III: Maximum Overdrivel

Re: RPI 2013/14 Part III: Maximum Overdrivel

When I voted yesterday, only one person had received any votes at all, and it wasn't Brock....:(

Currently 67% of the votes have gone to ECAC players. Gone are the days when the factory schools could just bombard these polls. Meaningless in the grand scheme, but still a comfort to those of us who lived through the ECAC's dark age.

I was referring to Dutchman, but yes, that poster too.

You're right of course. It's good to see Hokydad is back to normal. I wonder what I said about Kennedy http://board.uscho.com/showthread.p...at-(Part-II)&p=5891544&viewfull=1#post5891544. I certainly didn't think he was a great player, but I thought that he was good as Captain. It's nice to know that someone keeps track of all of my 155K posts. :)

Edit: And we are a coke program. I wonder if that means we're on drugs or like Pepsi. ;)

I, for one, prefer Pepsi. I'm part of that "New Generation" they were referring to back in the late 80's, early 90's.

I was surprised he was going after you, since he uses a lot of that to attack me.

The Adventures of Dutchman and HokyDope: Cherrypickers, Repeaters and Fact-Skewers Extraordinaire

You forgot obsessive, but otherwise spot on.

Let's get back to talking about the team that actually matters here.

Yes. You and your ilk just keep getting more and more unintentionally hilarious.

Don't ever stop. By the way, your co-workers gave me a large fry yesterday when all I asked for was a medium, so thanks for that too!

I am not laughing. Your remark is personal and lacks class. I have not gone after any RPI poster on this board. If you had read my most recent post you would understand why I am a Union fan and the respect I have for other programs including RPI.

Not going after posters is the truth. We know why you're a Union townie, but your respect for RPI is not apparent, given your blasts on them with the presumption that D-I hockey didn't exist until 1991.

Could this fight w/ the Union thread bring RC and FD together?

I don't take sides on the account of specific people when it comes to fights like this. The fact the RC and I share the same agenda is coincidence. There may or may not be an occasion when the agendas are shared again.

fr. Joe Looking forward to this weekend's action... I'm going to the SLU game on Friday but I have to be on the road Saturday night so I'll follow on wrpi. I'm enjoying the momentum of recent weekends. Keep it going![/QUOTE said:
It's not only a good time to be an Engineer fan but a good time to be an ECAC fan. I am stilled haunted by the 1984 frozen four at LP. Not an Eastern team in sight. The best team in the nation home in Troy. Ugh...but you can't have anything but fun up there.
Still remember Fridgen's first year coaching winning the ECAC in Placid. What a great time! Hopefully we can revisit.

Funniest thing I've read all week...great stuff A.D. !

From my post, "My own hockey roots go back to Murray Armstrong and some great DU teams and the old WCHA ( BTW I put Harkness with Murray as an all-time great) . I have found ECAC fans nowadays to be very polite compared to our student "balcony" in DU's old arena.

Obviously Union is a pretty new program in D1 terms, without the history and championships of RPI, but we are close to the top these days."

I was a fan of D1 hockey 40+ years ago. I have plenty of respect for great college hockey programs but not for posters who savage others on these boards, and leave negative rep like "idiot" and "dope".
