RPI 2013/14 Part III: Maximum Overdrivel

Re: RPI 2013/14 Part III: Maximum Overdrivel

I think Union fans are hurt that they aren't or...weren't

Doesn't it keep you up at night that we haven't won a national championship since Union started playing Division I hockey? Surely there's a cause and effect there somewhere!

It just keeps getting better, doesn't it?

You will appreciate the essay I just wrote in the thread. While I attempted to be friendly, I also attempted to be brutally honest.

Congratulations on your win, you bastids. :p

Sounded like there was a decent RPI presence at Lynah. Always like to see a substantial traveling section. Good luck the rest of the year.
Always love going to Lynah. What a great atmosphere especially, when RPI wins. The soft pillows and rare steak at The Statler ain't bad either.

I think a lot of your effort to be friendly and honest is going to be lost on the droolers.

Hilarious that they would accuse us of chest beating while... erm, chest beating.

So back to other teams for a moment, I will be going to the pre-game reception thing before the RPI @ Yale game next Saturday. That being said, I cannot predict accurately when I will get there. As such I was wondering if any of you have any good suggestions for eats in the area (never even been near this area of CT) in case I have to wait until after the game/I get curious. Thanks in advance.

Always wondered why there's no penalty given (or fans ejected, for that matter) for throwing the newspapers on the ice before the game. Also, trying to get through to a Union fan is like trying to teach a dog to speak Spanish.

*insert Anchorman quote about Baxter here*

You bet your butt if RPI fans threw something on the ice, we'd be forced to forfeit the game.

Then be called classless for showing poor sportsmanship. BTW, If RPI finishes fourth and Union wins the ECAC, and both make it to LP, we'd have a Union-RPI semifinal. I can't wait when RPI pulls the upset.

Dunno kinda like throwing a large calamari in Hockeytown.

If pizza is at all something you enjoy, you absolutely must go to Pepe's. There is usually a line and since it's pizza, you'll be there a while while it cooks, but it's absolutely fantastic. There are other pizza places in the area that claim to be better New Haven-style pizza, but they lie.

Not necessarily, because it would depend on 2 and 3 also making it. ;)
