Re: RPI 2013/14 Part II: The HFH is Covered with Frozen Drivel

Next year's ECAC non-travel-partner schedule courtesy of a post on eLynah http://elf.elynah.com/read.php?1,190628,190628,page=1#msg-190628. It also includes coordinated women's games.

Code:
11/07/2014 Harvard
11/08/2014 Dartmouth
11/14/2014 Princeton
11/15/2014 Quinnipiac
12/05/2014 @ Yale
12/06/2014 @ Brown
01/09/2015 @ Quinnipiac
01/10/2015 @ Princeton
01/16/2015 Colgate
01/17/2015 Cornell
01/30/2015 @ Dartmouth
01/31/2015 @ Harvard
02/06/2015 @ St. Lawrence
02/07/2015 @ Clarkson
02/13/2015 Brown
02/14/2015 Yale
02/20/2015 @ Cornell
02/21/2015 @ Colgate
02/27/2015 St. Lawrence
02/28/2015 Clarkson

I apologize for any transcription errors.

Not really trusting that schedule just yet. Normally RPI alternates when they play the Princeton/Quinnipiac weekends. This year they played them in Troy early and will play them next week on the road. The schedule you list has them doing the same next year-unless we have altered what we do, should we not be playing them on the road first next year? I had checked with Princeton earlier this year since i wasn't sure and they had indicated that this year the game was in january but that next seaon would be in either late November or early December at Baker Rink.

Edit: Similarly for Cornell and Colgate-we should be on the road first and playing them at home later int he year.

You are correct. Actually in most cases we play home and away in the same order as this year although which team we play first within a pair is correctly reversing.

After not being able to get on here yesterday I am surprised to come on today and not see anything on this thread about the weekend games and the expert coaches calling for OGC's head....

We were the cupcakes that weekend and were expected to get embarrassed. So what?

Ever said hi to my ignore list? You have a chance now.

Since you spend so much time talking to yourself anyway, you might as well expand that list far more broadly, it will cut down on distractions for you. ;)

I want to take this opportunity to apologize to FlagDUDE08 for the assertion that his significant other was not real. I have it on good authority that FlagDUDE is in fact dating Miss Michigan.

Science shows those who talk to themselves have a higher IQ. ;)

Ever since the scourge has hit our thread, discussion has slowed to a crawl. Sigh.

Anyone care to actually talk about hockey? Thoughts on the upcoming weekend? While we have had trouble against Princeton at home, typically we take care of business in NJ (and given how the Tigers are doing, this should hopefully be a morale boosting win). As for Quinnipiac, while they are of course doing well again this year, we managed to tie them at home last year (and earlier this year), so I hope we continue to play tough against them. No reason we can't walk away with at least 3 points this weekend!

Recent troubles have occurred at Princeton, but there is a silver lining in that we did beat them at home this year. It will certainly be an interesting game. As for Quinnipiac, there is a matter of the W-L-T cycle when we play in Hamden that still has yet to be broken. I will let your own research dictate what my prediction is, as I typically predict on the basis of streaks.

The usual. We need to play for 60 (or 65) minutes on both ends of the ice for each game.

I was happy to see 17 and 19 score goals on Friday. Saturday we fell behind but mounted a comeback that was thwarted by a penalty when we thought we tied it.

For some reason I read that as "Miss Michelin" and thought "that makes sense".
