Re: RPI 2011 Recruit Thread

I agree with you on that logic. We have one extremely small thing in our favor. I don't know any of other school that has had a player from Atlanta besides BU and us (Chris Maye).

And by extremely small, you meant miniscule....:D I'd think having Monty as coach and BRO as a teammate are mildly larger factors...

I did add BRO while you were composing the message. :)

No I meant "minuscule". :p I should be the last one to complain about spelling, but I actually can spell quite well -- I just can't type well. :D

Re: RPI 2011 Recruit Thread

but as we have experienced, you just never know how this stuff is gonna play out, especially when 20 yr. old kids are involved...dumb stuff like not wanting to eat cheese three meals a day start to enter into the decision...

One thing working against Wisconsin when it comes to all recruits, of course, is the fact that Jesus hates Wisconsin.

Re: RPI 2011 Recruit Thread

FWIW in the VS discussion --- assuming the alternating arrangement continues, RPI will play at BU next fall.... payback time ? :D

Disagree. Monty is no "small thing".

Re: RPI 2011 Recruit Thread

Exactly, VS would most likely want a piece of Capt. Jack.

Which is something WCHA teams can't reasonably expect. If he wants a crack at BU, there's no team on the planet outside of Hockey East that will give him the opportunity to play them better than RPI or Harvard.

Re: RPI 2011 Recruit Thread

Saponari would likely be able to plug into Wisconsin's God-forsaken style of play instantly as BU plays a hybrid bastard version of that. If he wants to run and gun though... RPI awaits.

Re: RPI 2011 Recruit Thread

I played hockey with VS' uncle in Ohio. I'll put in a good work for the engineers and give him an old Richardson jersey. Recruiting violation?? j/k

Re: RPI 2011 Recruit Thread

Wisconsin is Godless. Voted for Obama in primary and general.
Well if that's the reason then they share their handicap with about 90% of all D1 teams. I guess this is good news for UNO, AH, UND and the two teams from our greatest welfare state: Alaska

I wonder if that whole mosque thing has Allah against NY too. No wonder we are losing all of our best players and recruits. I think we need to line up Buddah, Ganesh, Shiva and Vishnu to see if we can tilt this thing back in our favor.
