Re: RPI 2011 Recruit Thread Pt. IV

Gotta do something while people start to fret over if JL is showing up or not. I will stick by what I have been saying all along about him. If he shows up great, if he doesnt oh well guess he didnt wanna be an Engineer.

Yup.

Anybody know whats the word on Kasdorf ? 2011 or 2012 ?

Thought some RPI fans might be interested : Neal was ranked 32nd best forward recruit in the country for class of 2015, Laliberte was ranked 34th in collegehockeysource.com's rankings this year.

I'll take that site seriously when they can show me where Minnesota-Duelth is.

I know nothing about the site and Neal certainly deserves to be ranked, but I would rank JL higher than him. Bradley, Diebold, and Kasdorf are all mentioned for the following year.

First off, welcome to the boards! We're not quite sure what Kasdorf will be doing. I know some of us have been diligently checking the RPI directory and have not seen his name appear as of yet (although that isn't a guarantee; a NLI is). We are certainly excited for the new recruits. You'll probably see information either here or on our off-season thread once it is made known to the world.

That is a minor error on that site. I was surprised that they had ranked MTU 11th in the WCHA, until I realized that UNO was missing.

Couldn't help but notice that Dubuque used their 4th round pick on a big forward from Massena with a familiar last name. He's got Doc D size (6'4")...and I'm guessing he doesn't have CCT on his list....just sayin' :p:D

"...Dubuque finally selected a forward with their fourth pick in the draft. Kevin Morris, a center from Massena, New York, had fourteen points over eighteen games of an injury-hampered 2010-11 campaign (Salisbury Prep). “He’s a smart hockey player, a big kid,” said Kinsella. “Very good on the penalty kill, he competes hard, and he’s a good team guy. His dad’s a coach, so he comes from a good hockey family.”

Dunno - but the prep schools have to have decent standards. I do know that he was ranked in the mid 100's by the CSB...:p:D Just glancing at the kids DBQ chose after him, the kid has to have a lot of upside.

Some prep schools have higher standards than others, just like colleges. :p
