He first said that he attended a game Tuesday evening. There was only one BCHL game Quesnel vs. Westside http://www.bchl.ca/leagues/hockey_boxscores.cfm?clientID=1413&leagueID=2393&gameID=840150&link=bchl. There are quite a few uncommitted players, especially for Quesnel, whom SA could be interested in. There were three AJHL games that day. That opens up many possibilities.

After listening again, he also attended another game Thursday night to meet with a different player/family. There were no games in the BCHL on Thursday, so he could have been in Alberta or even possibly Minnesota to check out some high school games.

If in fact he was in Alberta though, a possibility could be a pair of Dmen from this years TCW squad, Bokenfohr of Camrose and Holland of Okotoks. Camrose played Tues. night and Okotoks played Thurs. night. Both guys are ranked fairly high by CH. I can always hope :)

Delbarton had some young forwards we liked. ’95 soph Drew Melanson, who has already been offered by RPI, showed a lot of potential.

There was at least one recruit at HFH tonight. A very tall kid -- I wanna say 6'3 or better...brown mop top haircut. Saw him come out of the locker room between periods, then he sat up near the press box for the 3rd. Hopefully someone else has more info as to who the kid is.

Looks like CH is showing a new recruit for the Engineers, Curtis Leonard a big 6'3" 180lb left shot dman playing for the Wellington Dukes of the OJHL. Looks to be a 2011 addition.

TSN scouting report on Leonard from last season:

"He was undrafted but had a good year in Wellington" said one scout. "If he puts some pounds on he could be a very effective D-man for someone. He has the height but has struggled to put on weight thus making it a little hard to move some guys. He is a stay at home guy and can chip in with a few points here and there"

Also found a video clip of Leonard scoring his first ever junior A goal earlier this season vs Kingston, goal comes around 47 seconds. Leonard is #10 in white.
