Re: RPI 2011 Recruit Thread Pt. III

I know-but LMN is so catchy for me and reminds me of the great old Russian line in the Olympics KLM. I think next year's calss is top notch and fills a lot of posible holes for us.

Too bad that it isn't LSMFT. :)

Re: RPI 2011 Recruit Thread Pt. III

I suspect that is correct. I had forgotten about it. I'll have to look for the rosters, but I think that one of our known recruits was selected.
Although looking at the rosters it appears that most of the players on the Canadian teams are playing CHL thus not eligible to play NCAA. I cant see Vines traveling all the way out to Winnipeg to recruit one of the US U-17 kids. Maybe he's checking out some players from Europe.

My conclusion was that was interested in someone playing on the US U17 team, but he could indeed have scouted them in the US. I suppose that we could be interested in someone from Europe. For anyone intereested, the rosters are linked here http://www.hockeycanada.ca/index.php/ci_id/147052/la_id/1.htm.

Ive been thinking for a while that we might have interest in Matt Lane on the U-17 team since he's a New Yorker like JDA.

Re: RPI 2011 Recruit Thread Pt. III

An assistant coach for the U17 team is Tyler Eaves......So there is a connection.

Re: RPI 2011 Recruit Thread Pt. III

Great to see us mix it up with the big boys and pull out a win. Seems very, very similar to the Polacek situation (late signing of an undersized MN HS player who will be a young 18yo when he first shows up). Although there is always the chance we can hold off on bringing him in until 2012; if that is the case then it would be a really shocking signing for us and really signal a step forward for our recruiting efforts.
