RPI 2011 Recruit Thread Pt. II

Re: RPI 2011 Recruit Thread Pt. II

The BRO goes an outstanding +5 on the weekend in DBQ's two wins.
Now if he could just get a point or two to keep the girlfriend happy...:D

At the risk of a joke being taken seriously by certain mommies lurking in the shadows, I'm tempted to say that points will be added...:D. Seriously, the B.R.O. is rushing the puck more and making progress in his offensive efforts (offense as in shooting the puck...he is ALWAYS offensive to the opponents ;))

If he can add this kind of thing to his arsenal-he is going to be getting a lot of attention.

Yes, but I am the only one who can claim to legitimately 'gossip like a girl':p;):D

Life is definitely going to be fun around here the next 4+ years with you joining in. Jenny avoids posting (except for vic's pick the standings contest) but comes up with most of the smart arse remarks that I end up using.:)

I vow to contribute more than I have thus far...it will come with mileage and my level of comfort with the team and its players, the ECAC and the league in general...oh and tell Jenny she knows the reason she's not posting...because she refuses to show you up and she doesn't want to get addicted!

Re: RPI 2011 Recruit Thread Pt. II

Be nice to get a recruit or two here for the BU game - the joint ought to be jumpin'. Hopefully the students will demonstrate a show of force for the cameras.

I would note that Stouffville doesn't play on Saturday, should a certain d-man decide to pay a visit. :D

PS: I'm sure Ralph or RedHead nailed this already, but for those like me who missed it, here's a blurb about Serville re: his WJA experiences...http://stouffvillespirit.com/

Partially-she also thinks it is silly to sit for hours in front of the computer. She has usually showed me up in the pick the standings competition. At games I have to control her when the refs make poor calls-she has that hot Italian temper.(she once confronted Mike Noeth as he came off the ice at the HFH years ago). I am sure that you two will really enjoy each other's company.

The BU contigent should be strong but with the game on national TV perhaps some might decide to stay home and watch. Hope we have a good RPI turnout-this team is worthy of a lot of support.

Re: RPI 2011 Recruit Thread Pt. II

I don't have any idea who is on Seth's short list for keepers. Morris (5'10 190) sure has gotten peeps attention with his performance so far. (9-1, 3SO, 1.48GA .943SV%) It's worth noting that he attracted some attention playing for Little Caesar's & last year in the EJHL.
Well Seth almost landed Casey DeSmith (5'11" 170) about a month ago, we also know he's been talking to John Keeney (6'1" 170), as well as Dalton Izyk (6'1" 190) but he would most likely be a 2013 or 14 recruit. Including Morris all of these guys dont match the size of York/Merriam but I think Keeney or Morris would make a great replacement for York. A name I like is Pete Karvouniaris from Cornwall, id love to see him come in but the fact that this is his last year of junior eligibility I think hurts that chance.

Re: RPI 2011 Recruit Thread Pt. II

Keeney and Izyk are both plenty big enough...I don't know what York's ht./wt. were as a frosh, but I'd bet it was close to these two. Its a bit of a tough spot for Seth as he doesn't have any idea what will happen to York next year...could definitely go either way, IMO.

Morris is more attractive to me than K'nris only because he is achieving stellar results playing against tougher competition. I say see what he does as the season deepens a bit, if he keeps it up, bring him in.

I agree, also noticed CH now has Morris listed as his #2 ranked keeper on the 2012 USHL page.

To the best of my knowledge, York has been listed as 6'-3" or 6'-4" ever since we were after him. This isn't to imply that we are not or should not be after any of the above guys, but as a factual matter York has a substantial length advantage over them.
