Re: RPI 2011 Recruit Thread Pt. II

Interesting collection of possibilities.

Maybe Nolan Zajac is the Player to be Named Later in the trade for Josh Jooris. :D

Is he related to Travis Zajac? If so, I think we should credit ourselves with a "continuation" interest from way-back-when we were oh so close to signing Zajac #1. :)

Re: RPI 2011 Recruit Thread Pt. II

USHR is starting to put up the prep team rosters for this season. Potential RPI target '95 John Hayden is back with Brunswick, he's now listed at 6'2" 200lbs. He would be a spectacular pickup for RPI.

Yes. Nolan is the youngest of the four Zajac brothers.

As redhead18 said he is also a brother. I had forgotten that we almost signed Travis, but indeed that was the case. I wonder if Fridgen would still be the coach if that had happened.

Re: RPI 2011 Recruit Thread Pt. II

Wicked, I noticed Coldwell is also still available. I think you were watching him at some point last season. He seems to be ranked pretty high by CH.

RH - You have a good memory. The kid is a smooth offensive D man...not unlike Bailen.... USHL All-Star last season. I remain surprised that he hasn't committed. I haven't seen him play, but everything I've read makes me think he'd do well in the ECAC. His line is 12-4-4-8 6 PIM 6'1 190, left handed shot. 36 pts. in 58 games last year (Bailen had 41).

Re: RPI 2011 Recruit Thread Pt. II

On Wednesday, the Dubuque Fighting Saints defeated the Chicago Steel 1-0. Luke Curadi had a checking from behind penalty and simultaneously a board checking penalty and a fighting major penalty. http://ushl.stats.pointstreak.com/boxscore.html?gameid=1341399

Curadi's line is now 15-1-8-9-46.

It was a busy 6 min. mark of the 3rd for the zebras.... 7 penalties to 4 players. :D 2nd straight shutout for Morris.

Dubuque is whooping some serious rear in that league, and might I add, defensively! Pretty good for, given injury, dressing 5 defensemen.

I suspect that if there is another USHL expansion, they won't be as generous.

Re: RPI 2011 Recruit Thread Pt. II

Picked this up from the BC thread.....

According to a poster on EagleOutsider (don't think he posts here) Vinny Saponari couldn't get in and won't be here next year.
