RPI 2011 - 12 Recruit Thread

On Friday, the Des Moines Buccaneers lost to the Youngstown Phantoms 4-2. Jason Kasdorf saved 27 of 30 shots in 59:01. Chris Bradley had no points or penalties. http://ushl2011.stats.pointstreak.com/boxscore.html?gameid=1660198

Kasdorf's line is now 3-1-1-1-2.610-.901.
Bradley's line is now 3-0-2-2-2.

An article with quotes from Chris Bradley:

Recognizing that he may be a whole lot more mature about the points issue than I am (see article above), Bradley should have been awarded at least one assist last night. Two situations in the game last night where I thought he should have gotten a secondary assist - on one of the goals, the secondary assist was crystal clear - on the other goal, it was more understandable that the ref or scorekeeper had lost track of Bradley's involvement in the play. Good news is that he had plenty of ice time, including significant powerplay and PK time.

Had my first opportunity to see Kasdorf play. Good size. Solid game. Made a couple very nice saves, but was not called on to be spectacular last night. Did not think any of the three goals he gave up were of the soft variety.

Youngstown and Des Moines play again in about 90 minutes.

Re: RPI 2011 - 12 Recruit Thread

This is from USHR re:The New England Pro-AM Midget Fall Classic:

"Drew Melanson, ‘95 (New Jersey Freeze) 5’10”, 150 lbs., F—RPI recruit can really fly. His speed is incredibly difficult to defend against. Really puts defenders on their heels. We watched him play a very good Cape Cod Whalers team and he was a standout. If he adds a little more finish to his game he could turn into a real steal for the Engineers. Will be a junior at Delbarton".
