RPI 2011-12 Part VI: Sweet Meteor of Death

Re: RPI 2011-12 Part VI: Sweet Meteor of Death

Not going to be easy tonight, but the experience from last season should keep us focused on the game at hand.

Lets go red!!!!!!!!!

So, apparently a meteor has in fact struck Potsdam, and Clarkson forfeited? Oh wait, it didn't.... They won on their own? Keep it up boys!

TBone returns.... Haven't posted all season, but have been keeping track of the threads. Watched last nights game in Potsdam. Great result obviously, but just had to remark on how different this team is from the team I watched earlier in the season at SLU. Night and day. Really nice game plan, dictated play for long stretches, tough 'D', won puck battles and aren't afraid to shoot the puck. Read the Watertown paper this morning on the game - http://www.watertowndailytimes.com/article/20120303/SPORTS03/703039868/-1/sports - nice to hear the comments from the Clarkson coach.

I will be there again tonight and foresee a much different and tighter game. Should be good.

BTW - got a good chuckle on the thread title. Nice RC. :D

First HockeyHound returns on the scores thread. Now TBone returns here. Who's next? Elvis?

Re: RPI 2011-12 Part VI: Sweet Meteor of Death

Union fans whining that not all 12 teams should make the playoffs.

In other words, they want the "Union rule" rescinded. That's hilari-awesome.

Re: RPI 2011-12 Part VI: Sweet Meteor of Death

They will be so tired tonight, who has gas left in the tank ? Third period will be very interesting !

Re: RPI 2011-12 Part VI: Sweet Meteor of Death

Looking at the Yale/Princeton box score-sure looks like Princeton got the worst of the calls late in the game to get Yale back into it. I think the refs called a full 2 minute 5 on 3 against Princeton with under 4 minutes left while leading 4-3. That is the kind of thing that is usually reserved for us.
