For the trivially minded among us, Al Jones' place in RPI hockey history remains secure.

For 46 years, Jones, who led the 1965-66 team in scoring with 20 points, has held the distinction of being the lowest scoring team high scorer (if that term makes sense) in modern RPI hockey history.

Nick Bailen has finally surpassed him, as his four points tonight raise his total to 22 for this year.

Of course, RPI only played 22 games that year. It took Bailen 35 games to outscore Jones. So, which one is worse?
Anyway, just wanted to be the first one in here to congratulate the Engineers on their 5-1 win this evening. One down, one to go...

We need to keep playing our game. Too many penalties tonight, but on both sides, and there was absolutely no flow to the game.

And even that 65-66 team had a 10 goal scorer on it (in a short 22 game season). Something that it does not look like will happen for us this year. Although if we keep playing like we have the past 3 games, we may yet have a 10 goal scorer.

I watched the game on the Clarkson website (best 9 bucks I ever spent) and you're right about the penalties. There was at least 4 times where there was a penalty on one team and the other team would be penalized within 15-20 seconds later. Never saw that many 4 on 4 situations in one game all season. However, they did take advantage on what was given to them early and took the Clarkson crowd (if you want to call that a crowd) out of the game. I wouldn't mind seeing the same thing tomorrow night...

The big question-does SA make any change in the line up for tomorrow? You can bet tht CCT will play a very different game if given the chance. We have now played 3 very good games in a row and are 25% of the way to Atlantic City.

Thank You. When you had the kind of year like we had, including going 0-2 against Clarkson, you have to be a little giddy.
BTW, congrats on the Eli victory. Yale was the only home team that won this evening in the ECACH.

No, Ed, you should subtract from the time when RPI's fourth goal was scored (12:17) the time when the first was scored (5:44), not the second (6:33). ;) That is to say we scored four goals in 12:17 - 5:44 = 6:33, not 5:44.

I don't expect any unless there were injuries, however I can't say that I am good at predicting the lineup.

Interestingly, Jones also played defense.
