Re: RPI 2011 - 12 Part IV: We ain't Bailen on this season yet, Go Red!!

Took a trip down to the UCONN rink today for open skate. Tried to leave some good RPI ju-ju on the ice and bad ju-ju on the UCONN bench. The place is a hole with bleacher seating, I don' t think any of the seats are above the top of the glass.

Funny thing of note though, there was an RPI puck in the display case with Dan Fridgen's signature underneath. Looked like it was from the Maverick Stampede tourney.

Anyone home?

Hopefully the team really is healthy as they return to play on Thursday.

I asked about this on the tournament thread, but I didn't get anywhere so I guess I'll ask here too: Does anyone know if the tournament games will be streamed live or not? I'd like to be able to watch the games, and Connecticut is a little bit of a drive (flight) from Missouri.

Never say never RPI fans ! Many injuries this year, you are way better than your record. Good luck the rest of the way !

I hate to say it, but for the first time in 35 years of watching RPI hockey I'm really not looking forward to going to tomorrow's game. Have we tremendously overrated Seth Appert? I just hope we play Army as I'll be going with my Army officer (and fellow RPI alum) brother and my West Point cadet nephew. Perhaps a little friendly competition will make it more interesting.

My kids bought tickets to take me to the Harvard game so hopefully my hockey passion will return before next weekend. The 3 hour drive to Troy is a lot easier when it is accompanied by child-like anticipation of an entertaining game.

Have some faith. The strategy to play frehmen and sit seniors backfired. Hopefully SA realizes that he needs physical presence on the ice tomorrow. We need to see cullen, rabbani and smith out there to throw some hits
Not saying outcome would be different. But less embarassing than a 7-2 score

I never drank the Kool Aid. As you all know. Seth is a snake oil salesman. Once Monty beat feet...... well. Terrible record no Christmas Tourney! Thats ok Seth you can eliminate the oldest hockey tourney in the country.
Now trying a left wing lock. Wasn't he they guy that said he was going to come in and play an up tempo game and score a lot of goals! What jerk%&((
I am sick to my stomach.

Fridgen never had the years this knucklehead has struggled through. In the Troy Record he said he failed the team the first half of this year. What about the last Five.

I have 48 years and indeed find this year very trying. We may not have won many games earlier this season-but we were close and the defense had been quite good. Perhaps this is just another season in which every other team progresses and improves and we do not? That seems to be the routine for the past many years-usually off to a fast successful start and then faltering as the season moves on. This year perhaps we started more slowly, and only now are faltering further? I just do not bleieve that this team doesn't have the talent to win more games than they have. I lived through the debacle of 1965-1966 and although the team records seem comparable and the lack of scoring similar-there is just so much more to be expected from this team than what we had back then. Just now hoping to salvage one win this week and move on-Go Red!

Guess you don't count the NCAA tourney last year.

They were miserable in feb and march... they backed in come on. His record proves that he can't coach. Look at the engineers at the end of the season each year he has been there. The mark of a good coach is that his teams get better at the end of the season not worse! Enjoy the kool aid
