What is wrong, obviously, is a lack of goal scoring. In my opinion, the problem is that SA is relying on his upperclassmen, as he has been saying, but they weren't really go-to guys in Juniors and their is no reason to think that they would be at this level. While it makes some sense not to put a lot of pressure on freshmen, they are the ones with a history of goal scoring. The other problem has been all of the injuries early in the year.

Very good job of summing it up quickly. I would add, however, that the play of the upperclass forwards has also been subpar and disappointing. Nobody expected any of those guys to pop 15 goals, but 1/3 through the season, it looks like they could have trouble combining for 15 goals.
