I think you meant "score". I understand that they will be updating the stat sheets shortly and that Babo will be getting a point added to her line. :)

Not again... please do not attract the dope... Context is in adding points.

Maybe you guys are doing it in reverse this season. Instead of starting fast and fading at the end, you're starting slow and gearing up for a flying finish?????

It's a contagion...once the lamp lights for one of them consistently, it'll be a flood of activity for the team... 11111111111,lllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll \
(and if you're wondering why the symbols are in my post, I left my cat's contribution...:p). Scare D says go Engineers!:)

I still think the freshmen will lead us out of the early season funk-both offensively and defensively. Just a matter of getting them enough ice time.

I suppose the injuries disrupt practice on any tactics for the offense that depend upon timing and co-ordination. I'm not that familiar with the basic nuts and bolts of hockey tactics, in other team sports in which I participated at a high level, we'd need to run the same play over and over and over so many times to make sure each person was at the right spot at the right moment.

I thought it was interesting to hear SA say in last week's interview that players were playing now because the coaches had no flexibility, but once more players were healthy then the players would have to compete for playing time and that competition to get on the ice has a way of focusing concentration and desire.

maybe this year it will be our turn to make a deep run in the conference tournament after a mediocre regular season.

We had that "turn" three years ago. Not that we couldn't again, of course...

No report, but I saw Laliberté on campus without anything on his hands. Hopefully that means he'll be back this weekend.

Re: RPI 2011-12 Part II: We Like to Post!

Hopefully everyone remembered to vote! Former Union president Roger Hull is running for mayor of Schenectady.

Also, there is no truth to the rumor that Harry Z. has any interest in becoming an assistant coach at Penn State. :p

Too soon?

Not at all. I made a Harry Z zinger on the alumni thread. :D

You made a zinger that was completely unrelated to the Penn State situation. Your logic is fail.

And, jericho, no. I groaned a little, but it wasn't too soon.

I just read this post (I didn't read it the first time through because I'm not going and I definitely wasn't going from Troy), but, really? They're not letting people stay for both games? That seems ill-advised.

Completely agree, it would be nice if the bus departed Lake Placid around 9 instead to give people the option of staying for the second game or if they arent interested in the second game being able to grab some dinner/drinks or do some more shopping after the RPI/Union game. I would have signed up for this bus trip if I wasnt forced to go home after the first game.

Re: RPI 2011-12 Part II: We Like to Post!

I wonder if the Union is trying to use the Pep Band's bus for the trip like they did last year for the Green Bay trip. No one paid for that trip, but then again, it was a lot longer and more expensive... That would explain why it isn't staying for the second game though. The Union won't pay for us to have tickets for a game we don't play at.
