WaP talks to Todd Milewski, our lord and master here at USCHO.

was at practice tonight and who was there?......BP! Before everyone gets too excited, I asked Rabbani if BP had signed or not, he said he didn't know. But York turned to us & said that he had:confused: To keep the soapbox going though....still no Harkenrider at practice:eek: By the way; if Koudys is 6'4"...then "the Beef" is 6'6". I agree with the optimism concerning Higgs & Rogic. Don't overlook Tinordi though

Thanks for the practice reports 181. I trust York..he's pretty tight with BP...they were roomies. My guess is that Rabbani had no interest in rehashing the BP saga.

I've been worrying about a lot of things here lately, but the location of the #3 keeper isn't one of them...no offense to Joey...:p

They both seemed to do it in juniors. We'll soon see about the NCAA.

Bailen will be the defender that folks notice first...I'm gonna keep saying it until folks see it for themselves.:p Koudys appears to be fast tracking and may well surprise folks with his impact on the ice this season.

IMHO, Bailen is a given. The other three new d-men have more to prove. I do agree about Koudys and wonder if next summer we will be concerned about his possible leaving.

Anyone think there is a chance CH's source is wrong? ( Blasphemy, I know) :p I can dream anyway...

At this point, if we're worried about that next summer, something good probably happened in between.

Either that, or the entire college hockey world is going down the toilet.

C'mon RB, we've got more than enough angst to get us through this season...:p From a strickly hockey perspective I would so no, I think defense is tougher to truly master and takes a bit longer to develop all facets. But given the current CBA reality, we've all certainly learned that anything goes.

I shouldn't have started a seperate recruit thread. Stuff about recruits is still appearing here, and stuff that isn't is appearing there. :D

CH has been wrong, but he rarely is.

Its been awhile RB, folks have to get back into the habit. I'm posting something about Koudys over "there". :p

Any more drama, and we could get a network to relinquish part of its daytime schedule!

Leboeuf is 6'6? WOW! If he puts on a great deal of muscle with that, look out for our defensemen!

I'm not saying the Beef is 6'6", unless Koudys IS 6'4"...the Beef is at least 2 inches taller than PK. Maybe PK is 6'2". They both appear to be equal in skating ability at this point. I watched last week as JFK was working w/Beef on his footwork in the corners while digging out pucks, so, there is a learning process taking place. Of note, Interesting watching the D-pairings in last nights scrimmage; JFK/Koudys.....Bergin/Foss(who appears beefier)...Bailen/Dolan....the Beef/M.Murley. If Dolan is shorter than Bailen, can't tell them apart yet, Dolan is very offensive minded. They worked well together. Obviously too early to say these will be the pairings come game day.

Kevin Beauregard was not practicing with the defense? Maybe Coach hasn't officially told him to practice with the defense, so JFK is asking him to stay with the offense during the special captain's practices. Might as well ask... has Coach begun running practices, or are we still on captain's practices and Coach begins next week?

Matt Murley was there?

Someone can correct me, but I don't think that regular practices can begin until early October.

Praise be to Father Puckman, the prodigal son Matt Murley has come back to guide our young sheep to the promise land. :D Awesome to hear that some of our former players are still helping out the young guys.

He's only been going to captain's practices for the last 13 years, Ralph. :p

Murley and Kirk MacDonald are training with the team, yes. And apparently, as turk mentioned yesterday, we might be able to add Brandon Pirri to that list as well.

As to Appert's involvement, he and the coaches are allowed to "skate" the team, but no pucks. Kennedy and his crew break out the pucks after Appert hands off the reins.

Official practices begin October 2nd.

I believe coaches are allowed limited weekly time with limited groups of players (like 3 max)...but I'll stand corrected.
