RPI 2010-2011 VI- Red Dead Redemption

Re: RPI 2010-2011 VI- Red Dead Redemption

So that would mean 4 ECAC teams would get in.

I'm not positive, but the 5 ECAC scenario may still even be possible. Running tests to confirm...

EDIT: Nevermind. Thought Dartmouth still had a stab at 14, but misread my data.

No way that can be completely true. We wouldn't be at 80%+ if that was the case.
One example of Rensselaer getting in even if all three of tonight's remaining games go the wrong way (places us in a 3-way tie for 12th with Notre Dame and UNO):
Code:
Atlantic Hockey
Championship game: RIT defeats Air Force

CCHA
Semifinal #1: Western Michigan defeats Michigan
Championship game: Miami defeats Western Michigan
Consolation game: Michigan defeats Notre Dame

ECAC
Semifinal #2: Cornell defeats Dartmouth
Championship game: Cornell defeats Yale
Consolation game: Colgate defeats Dartmouth

Hockey East
Semifinal #2: New Hampshire defeats Merrimack
Championship game: Boston College defeats New Hampshire

WCHA
Semifinal #1: North Dakota defeats Colorado College
Championship game: North Dakota defeats Denver
There are obviously variabilities. For instance, a Notre Dame-Michigan tie moves Tute into 13th place by themselves.

3-0 final......just got off the phone with my niece (cornell '02), she said the attendance was pathetic....probably 2,000 +/-

They announced today's attendance at 3,356. Of course that's sold tickets, not butts in seats. Likely also includes all the concession workers, parking attendants, administrative staff, and people who peered in the door while walking down the street.

Good night or bad night for Rylan Schwartz? Scores two goals but commits two penalties, including one while they were on the 5-min PP.

both my niece & sister are executives (marketing) at Harrahs and they couldn't give tickets away

Re: RPI 2010-2011 VI- Red Dead Redemption

This may all come down to how motivated Yale is to go all out tomorrow. We all know Cornell is playing to get into the tournament so they will show up. Yale with a guaranteed bid.

Re: RPI 2010-2011 VI- Red Dead Redemption

UND beats CC 4-3. Merrimack beats UNH 4-1.
Only 2 games went the wrong way today. Too bad they were a big two.

The PWR thread indicates if Yale beats Cornell, we're in regardless of other outcomes. If Cornell wins then it comes down to the other games.

We can't finish lower than 15th, but if Cornell wins and takes the autobid, then any 15th place scenarios put us out of the field.

Hard to figure out more since most of the college hockey web is crawling right now.

Re: RPI 2010-2011 VI- Red Dead Redemption

RPI can still finish 12th and grab a 3 seed with these results tomorrow

CCHA
Championship game: Western Michigan defeats Miami
Consolation game: Michigan defeats Notre Dame

ECAC
Championship game: Yale defeats Cornell
Consolation game: Colgate defeats Dartmouth

Hockey East
Championship game: Merrimack defeats Boston College

WCHA
Championship game: North Dakota defeats Denver
