Re: RPI 2010-2011 IV: We Still Have Allen York. Sorry, Everyone!

uhhhh.... Kick Save and a Beauty was the first one to mention the happy sack.

In any case, my suggestions:
RPI 2010-2011 V: Betting on 23 Red (or 25 Red, depending upon the bye situation)
RPI 2010-2011 V: The Albany Curse is Gone. Let's aim for the Championships!

Come to think about it, it would have to be 25 Red. We're at 19-9-4 now, 2 games left for regular season, and if we're lucky enough to get a bye, four more games for the league championship. Although 27 (should we not get the bye) is also red; perhaps we use that instead for a double meaning.

Nobody should throw anything on the ice. The refs are absolutely atrocious but that is no excuse.

While I agree with the spirit of your statement, I have to nitpick - Hats are an acceptable item to throw on the ice, but the proper situation must arise first ;)

I think you're trying too hard.

I like the second one. I don't get the other one.

The funny thing about Yale posters is that we all get lumped in as Yale alumni or students. In my case I am town not gown. I appreciate the kind words and as I always enjoy the RPI threads. Good luck next weekend.

A lot of the RPI posters aren't alumni or students either. (I am an alum.) Besides for locals, there are also relatives of players (current, future, and past).

How about RPI 2010-2011 V: The Playoffs begin NOW ? After all, this weekend games are playoff caliber and should be played that way...

The title would only be valid for a short time.

Before we get to why they're lame, what's not to get about the first one?

I didn't see the post where he explained "23". I still don't like it because betting on red could pertain to other schools.

The Albany Curse one is fine with me. So why is it lame?

RPI 2010-2011 V: No Sac, No Glory????

RPI 2010-2011 V: "They" are out to get us.

RPI 2010-2011 V: I still believe in Seth Appert.

RPI 2010-2011 V: Engineering a great finish.

RPI 2010-2011 V: Get used to hearing about us

RPI 2010-2011 V: On the fast train to glory

RPI 2010-2011 V: If they want it bad enough, they will get it!

We should start a thread just for coming up with thread titles.

That crossed my mind a while back, but it would probably just cause fans of other teams and leagues to make asinine suggestions. They can do that here, of course, but I suspect few of them bother to read this.

I'll ignore #1. :D

#2 isn't bad. #3 is one that we can use. Personally, I wouldn't use #4 because it would be woofing.

Allow me to end this debate.

RPI V: We need to come up with a title.

Allow an outsider to chime in

RPI 2010-2011 V- "Just because we are paranoid, it doesn't mean they aren't out to get us"

I'm going to shoot that one down because I'm sick and tired of Cornell clowns levying that charge in the first place. Of course, they deny to the death that their team is easily the most boring in the league to watch, so their credibility is nil, but I'm still sick of them.

I was trying to come up with the number of wins we needed to get to Atlantic City, but then I thought maybe 25 wins were needed, and then for some reason, it was about winning the ECAC championship. On a roulette wheel, those numbers happen to be red. If Yale beats Cornell then Cornell requires an even number, which, around that area, is black.

Yes, my suggestions were lame, but hey, it's a start, and it's better than using genital organs.
