I'm sorry that you don't have a set and don't stand up for what you believe. You probably never played anything in your life. Get off this thread until you get some sac

Having seen well over 500 RPI hockey games over the years I am proud to say we have never thrown anything at anyone. I have almost lost it completely a few times and I did have to pull Jenny off the glass at HFH though one time when she tried to get at Mike Noeth. And I was escorted out of the 1980 Rink at Lake Placid in 1995 when we beat Princeton 5-1 because some Princeton fans were upset with my use of a powerful airhorn after each RPI goal.:D

Throwing anything at anyone participating in a sporting event is against the law and dangerous whether you think so or not. You should not be proud about what you have done, and are a discredit to all respectful RPI fans.

I know I had mentioned a few times on here that a referee had refused to work Houston Field House again because of a similar event. I don't agree with throwing stuff at the refs because we may get to a point where RPI can't host any more games or need to do some further renovations because the refs refuse to work, hence why the only thing that flew down from me were some words that I won't repeat on here. On the other hand, given the actions that occurred with league officials and the following repercussions, I think it could be seen as a wake-up call. How the league chooses to answer the wake-up call is to be seen.

I'm sure I wouldn't be the first to admit that Houston Field House is a very hostile location if you aren't of the RPI family (or sometimes even at the current moment). I would much rather that we were overly hostile than the alternative of being the equivalent of a graveyard. This is why Lynah and Cheel get a lot of respect as barns in this league, you could say the same thing even out west with Yost, and I'm sure there are plenty of others in the college hockey world with the same reputation. About six years ago, I had written an editorial to RPI's campus newspaper regarding making Houston Field House a lively location where, for four hours in a weekend, there is belief that RPI is the best, and any possibility of slighting this belief should be taken very seriously.

Well I did lose it completely, after they blew Bryce off his feet w/o a call. I'm not going to stand for that. I care about the the welfare of the players....not some refs with over inflated egos.

Maybe, Hopefully Paul Stewart will resign from his position. Well a man can wish can't he. I have emailed him myelf twice. Once after the 6th time that Jerry got his from behind. The second time was after the Hicks Debacle. Both times his response to me was " Tryouts are in August...Bring your skates."

He has a point. Everything in sports, in fact probably just about everything in life, is "put up or shut up". Those 50 guys chose to risk verbal harassment, even assault, because of their love for the sport of hockey. Unless there's another farm available for "better" referees, or people come in to look for the job, we're stuck with what we have. I think there is some dependency upon who is in the referee queue as to whether or not we are able to get different referees.

There were actually Princeton fans in Lake Placid?

Does anyone think Beauregard and Halpern will play Saturday night (senior night).

By replying to your stupid and juvenile post I was standing up for what I believe in. To be proud of your actions shows how immature you really are. Insulting my athletic ability, which you know nothing about is also quite a comeback. Last time I checked the sac was still there , I do appreciate your concern about my balls though, you need not worry.
You can return to eleventh grade now.

Halpern probably will. I suspect that Beauregard won't. It will be interesting to see if Malchuk will be honored since he will be coming back.

Another point is that even if the towels indeed couldn't hurt anyone, if they were thrown on the ice, someone could trip over them.

I'm actually standing up for the players, unlike you, armchair coach. I have voiced my opinions on many levels, people are listening and action is being taken. I don't just come to some blog and hide behind a screen name.
You have GO YALE....nuff sad Prolly voted for Obama too!

A few towels, along with a couple empty gatorade bottles, were thrown onto the ice after the goal was scored.

I think it's possible both will play. Neubert saw some time his senior year on the final game of the regular season, and the final minute of that game in 2008 saw six seniors, especially those that didn't play very much, on the ice.
