RIT vs MIDD Norwich vs GA

Re: RIT vs MIDD Norwich vs GA

Had the Gustavus-Norwich game lasted a couple of minutes longer, we might well have Gustavus-RIT for the championship. They mounted an amazing comeback and really had the Cadets back on their heels!

The question is did GAC come back, or did Norwich prematurely take their foot off the gas pedal? It looked to me as though the Cadets mailed in much of the third period. Not a smart thing to do.

I disagree here. GAC didn't really show up till about halfway through the second. If GAC played like that the whole game it would have been a much more interesting game.

Re: RIT vs MIDD Norwich vs GA

From what I could tell, it was a fair amount of both. Norwich wanted it to be over going into the third and played not to lose. GAC worked very hard to get back into the game and ran out of time to come all the way back. Cadettes should not have taken their foot off the gas in the 3rd.

Not surprised that Midd couldn't get past RIT. While I didn't really think that it would be the 5 goal margin that I predicted, after watching Middlebury struggle at home against a very similarly built Norwich team I couldn't see how the Panthers could win one on RIT's mini ice with a very nice RIT home crowd. Congrats to RIT on the win and their fans for filling the place up. Congrats to the Panthers on a very fine season. An amazing team effort and a lot of over-achieving to get this far. Hope that they can come away with a w today against GAC. I see it as Midd by a goal. Should be an outstanding game even though its not for the big prize. Norwich/RIT should be a war. I'm sticking with my prediction of NU by a goal in OT.

That's exactly what I was trying to say - What I posted sounded like something else. When you've got a tough opponent on the ropes, you have to finish them off, or they'll come back on you big time.

gustavus didn't even show up today...is it time for the third place game to go?? Hjelm with 7 penalties on the weekend 5 checking...is she a detriment with that despite her scoring ability?

Re: RIT vs MIDD Norwich vs GA

What a great effort, beating the top scoring RIT team in their own barn. Congratulations to the NATIONAL CHAMPION NORWICH CADETS!. :D Special congratulations to the seniors who have been with the team for its entire history, going from newcomers as a varsity team to national champs in 4 seasons. :) Unbelievable, but true!

I hope this pushes the men to repeat as national champs next weekend.

I also hope the video streaming is better next weekend. It was 2-3 minutes behind the whole way. I listened to WDEV but watched on NCAA.com
