Did anyone take pictures that they can post from the new arena from this past weekend vs Brock?

Now that they got a new bell, can we start a Corner Crew photoshop fund? These MS Paint edited pictures are cringe worthy.
I thought RIT students had access to all sorts of free software... such as Photoshop!

Dan Schuler is probably out for this season... Miller and Reid recovering from surgery: http://www.democratandchronicle.com...6/dan-schuler-rit-hockey-concussion/16812749/

That is no bueno. Schuler was a bright spot last year and has a lot of talent.

I think missing Reid and Miller is more manageable, hopefully some freshmen step up, but Schuler will be tougher to replace.

"Probably" may be overstating it a bit, as concussions are unpredictable. If his symptoms go away soon, he could be playing in a matter of weeks. If they persist, his career might be over.

Coach Wilson said that Schuler hasn't practiced with the team at all and every time he does something like lifting weights or runs, he has recurring headaches. Realistically, I don't think he'll be back for some time.

Someone has to have MS Publisher with their office Suite...

Re: >>>>>RIT TIGERS... The Polisseum, just like the Ritter only more of us!<<<<<

In his postgame, coach Wilson thought that the Tigers have to be a little less aggressive in the neutral zone because it's bigger. It was an interesting perspective because they play with the bigger zone on the road, but he says there's extra adrenaline at home that used to be ok because the neutral zone was smaller and kinder to mistakes.

While the penalty kill got a workout (Brock was 1 for 7), the Tigers had exactly 11 seconds of power play the whole game. They only had one PP opportunity, and scored just 11 seconds into it - Garbowsky tipping a shot from one of the Norrish twins.

Interesting cause I really liked the aggressive nature this team showed. It seemed like it's been a long time since we have seen a Tiger team with that kind of Edge. That aggressiveness was more encouraging than the final score to me. So I hope Wilson doesn't pull back the reins that much. They made some mistakes in the second and the third, but this is a young team it's to be expected.

As far the Penalties, just another example of AHA officials having a good idea and then messing it up. They seemed like they wanted to let the boys play, and let a lot of things go. Which I have no problem with, but when you have a difference like they had in Penalties it shows you need to be a little bit better in the selective calls you make. If this had been RIT vs. Air Force there would have been outrage...

Handball? Seriously you F yourself up playing handball? Ugh.

I think it seriously shows the extent of the injury. Doesn't seem to take much to set off symptoms. Amazes me in this day and age we still seem to understand so little about the human brain....

That has to be frustrating for him. You have to at least be a little concerned about even longer term effects if it's been this long already.

Will this be through out the season also?
I don't know for sure, but I would bet that this is a one time deal since it is being done in conjunction with the One SpiRIT: Global Hockey Festival.

The free streams on Saturday are part of One SpiRIT: the Global Hockey Festival so that the international campuses can watch the games at their events too.

If you're in the area please come by!! During the tailgate there will be food, live music, and activities such as human bubble ball and human foosball along with the international broadcast between campuses before the women's game at 3:05.

The game Saturday was alright. Obviously we can't take much of anything from the final score of an exhibition game, but what made me nervous was a lack of finish. Just watching the teams, one could surmise pretty easily that RIT was bigger, faster, stronger, etc than Brock, but then you look at the game flow and the shots and see a relatively even game. I would have expected the Tigers to spend more time on the offense than they did, but maybe I just don't know enough about Brock's ability.
As far as the arena, my son and I like it very much. One disappointing aspect that I didn't notice until watching an actual game was that there is no display anywhere of the Shots On Goal. I miss that. The BCA did the same thing when they got their new video board years ago. The fans complained enough that they eventually started posting the shots up with the out of town scoreboard. I also would have liked to see the video boards be a combination score/stats board and video board rather than just huge (and very high quality) TVs. I also am going to have to adjust to no center-hung scoreboard. Its much more convenient to glance straight upwards at the clock/penalty time/shots during play than it is to turn to the side.

Yes, the video boards need scoreboard graphics, including SOG. The side scoreboards are hard to read from the end sections.

I never would have thought the GPC would have more basic scoreboards than the Ritter.
