Actually there is new information ...... Steve Bradley from the Democrat & Chronicle (what's the proper abbreviation for that?) is reporting that Rotolo is now eligible: https://twitter.com/SBradleyDC/status/520621315712376832

Yessssss! I hope he gets the start.

Anyone see the AtlanticHockey.tv announcement? Looks like it's exactly the same as AmericaOne with the same pricing options. I'm not sure if there's a real difference...

I don't understand how they can price it at $150 considering NHL game center, which features 30 teams over 82 games plus home/away feeds and multiple camera angles is $160 for the season.

Seriously. I can't possibly justify that price, despite how much I enjoy watching the games. To boot, AmericaOne's service SuuuuUUuuUcked when I paid for it a few years back. I doubt much has changed. I would pay... $75 for an RIT only pass.

D&C. No one from Rochester will think you're talking about dilation and curettage. =)

Not sure if this has already been posted, but while just browsing the guide on my Time Warner box, I observed both games this weekend are showing-up on Time Warner Cable Sports channels. Granted, not all TWCS lineups will be the same (I'm in the Southern Tier region), but tonight's game vs St Lawerence is on TWCS3 (digital channel 325, here), and tomorrow night's Clarkson tilt is shown for the 'main' TWCS channel (digital 323, here), so more regions may get this one, non-digital alike.

Looking forward to seeing the 'new digs' on the big plasma!!

Cheers!!!

That's why Ruby is not a #1 goaltender. (First goal)

Also is the crowd small? It looks that way on TV.

About 3/4 full according to the official attendance number from the radio guys.

I don't know what you were looking at on the first Saints goal but Ruby didn't have much of a chance. Maybe if he was three inches taller.

The whole team played really well tonight. Again, it's hard to get TOO excited given that St.Lawrence is projected to finish 12th in the ECAC, but either way RIT looked like it was in midseason form, something we have not seen from them in October since I've been a fan.

I cannot believe I am saying this...even Ruby looked sharp tonight.

Re: >>>>>RIT TIGERS... The Polisseum, just like the Ritter only more of us!<<<<<

Would have thought there would be more at the game for having the new arena.

I thought the team played well. I like the aggressiveness. Wish we could minimize the penalties though. The top line got into the scoring column.

Re: >>>>>RIT TIGERS... The Polisseum, just like the Ritter only more of us!<<<<<

Game was very entertaining. Much better than what we we have seen the past 2 years. St. Lawrence might be on the down swing but it was nice to see RIT out play a team in an OOC game to start the season.

Lots of people continue to stand around the rails. Wouldn't have been enough to fill all the seats but you can't see that on TV. Arena is very loud, really pleased with the atmosphere. If the team has a winning season the seats will start to fill.

I guess I don't understand why the first couple games cannot be sell-outs. Aren't the students at RIT excited to see what their university just built? Either everyone is still angry at the Tigers sucking the past couple years or the arena hasn't been properly advertised...

Personally, I don't think it was properly advertised.

Also, according to the RIT recap article, attendance was 3,103. (http://www.ritathletics.com/news/2014/10/10/MHOCKEY_1010140719.aspx)

Re: >>>>>RIT TIGERS... The Polisseum, just like the Ritter only more of us!<<<<<

still 1000 more than could fit into ritter... RIT pride has always been challenging, gotta give it time (and winning seasons)

Re: >>>>>RIT TIGERS... The Polisseum, just like the Ritter only more of us!<<<<<

Re: >>>>>RIT TIGERS... The Polisseum, just like the Ritter only more of us!<<<<<

I do think it will take a few more weeks or maybe months of winning before we see an overall rise in attendance, especially once the new arena hype dies down. But even a crowd of 3000 is a success I think.

I expect it will be more full tonight, as Saturday games usually are. Not to mention Clarkson will fill up at least a section or two with their fans and band.

Re: >>>>>RIT TIGERS... The Polisseum, just like the Ritter only more of us!<<<<<

Re: >>>>>RIT TIGERS... The Polisseum, just like the Ritter only more of us!<<<<<

We have seen a rise in attendance... this arena is twice the size of the Ritter and we are drawing 1000 more than it could hold. The student section/bleachers are filled and there are many people standing. Also, there were over 6,000 at the Amerks game last night... if that game wasn't on, some of those fans might have gone to the Polisseni. I think we are doing OK... not to mention the fact that our Tigers are playing great, especially for so early in the season. As was mentioned above, if The Tigers continue to play well, we will draw more fans. We'll always see some empty seats, though. Some people will choose to stand at least during part of the game, even if the only tickets they could get are reserved seats. I've never been a person to stand, but with the new "rails" to hold your food and drink it's not a bad way to watch the game.

Re: >>>>>RIT TIGERS... The Polisseum, just like the Ritter only more of us!<<<<<

I admit I was hoping for a sellout (I was also hoping for a commemorative ticket, no luck on either count), but if I'm realistic, I realize that sellouts would mean we built the rink too small. We built an arena we are going to have to grow into, and that's the way it should be.

If RIT wanted a sell out... maybe the first game could have been free? I know, I know... but they sunk all the other money into it already, may as well make the home opener special.

It should certainly be free for all the students, especially the freshmen. I mean come on. If you want to build a stronger student fan base (not saying that RIT doesn't have a strong fan base already) and a larger student fan base, then free tickets for the first game or two games is the way to do it. All of the Residence Advisors should be taking their floors to the games. RIT's enrollment is over 18,000 for crying out loud! The freshmen class is around 3,000.

If anyone isn't saving their fancy season ticket from tonight can I have it? I need an extra ticket with McGowan on it :)

Re: >>>>>RIT TIGERS... The Polisseum, just like the Ritter only more of us!<<<<<

Good game for the Tigers tonight. Superb job by MacLean, even if he got in a few sticky situations. The second goal wouldn't have been saved by most goalies. I really liked the intensity of all the players. One criticism is that early in the game RIT seemed to not be able to get shots on goal despite controlling the puck for long stretches in the first. However, I LOVE that there are FINALLY players playing in front of the opposing net and in a position to slam home rebounds. Looking good so far!

Nice new barn you guys have. Surprised at the empty seats though.

BTW, you limited Clarkson to 65 seats. :(
