Congrats to Rotolo, first career shutout (I believe, anyway).

That Holy Cross weekend felt like a disaster at the time, looks like its going to cost the Tigers a home playoff series as well.

2nd shutout actually

Ach. That's what I get for not looking it up before posting. Would you accept first shutout against a good team? First against a fellow Western pod team for sure. ;)

If RIT wins tonight and Holy Cross loses, who would win the tie-breaker?

How did Matt Garbowsky play tonight?

I believe Holy Cross has the tie-breaker due to beating RIT earlier this year in their two game series. The four-way tie scenario is out the window with losses by Sacred Heart and AIC last night.

It's looking like a trip to Worcester is in the cards with a win tonight.

Holy Cross 1-0-1 against RIT H2H.

From listening to the radio broadcast, it sounds like he did well. I think he was our best faceoff man, and he certainly generated some offense.

Yes, with a win that is correct. It may already be decided before the game starts as it looks like UNCONN and Sacred Heart play at 4:05 pm. If Sacred Heart loses, then it will not matter what RIT does tonight as they will be going to Holy Cross. If Sacred Heart wins and RIT loses then RIT will get Canisius.

At least that's how I see it. Obviously we hope RIT wins especially because of the significance of this last game at the Ritter, but it will be interesting to see what Coach Wilson does if they don't have to win. Do they rest anybody?

I don't think anyone will be rested. I think this team needs to build on confidence that comes from winning. I would, however, bench guys who are hurt if possible.

hmmm, that's a good question but I think he and the team want to close out Ritter with a win

Agreed, this is huge...

Conversely if Sacred Heart wins this afternoon Canisius will need to think about whether they want to play RIT or Sacred Heart in the first round. They might rest any big guns on their team that could benefit with a night off and get ready for Sacred Heart. Let RIT have their win in the Ritters last game...

Very interesting last day in league play for RIT all starting at 4:05pm.

The OJHL announced it's regular season allstar teams, and Tiger Recruit Liam Kerins playing for North York is on the first team. http://ojhl.pointstreaksites.com/view/ojhl/news-21/news_136482

I've got a feeling that he's going to be the cream of this years class of recruits.

The North York Rangers shared this video of his highlights from this past season: http://t.co/eFj3wJrKUj. Looks pretty good.

If I am Canisius, I am resting anyone who is dinged up as possible since they cannot move up or down in seeding. My hunch is they would rather play Sacred Heart, but they went 1-1 against the Pioneers in a pair of 1 goal games. I don't think they want to play RIT if the Tigers have confidence.

Agreed, and now the UCONN - Sacred Heart game starts at 5:05pm instead of 4:05pm, maybe they gave them an extra hour on account of last nights OT game?

Congrats to both men and woman for ending on a winning streak. There was no better way to close out the RITTER than with winning streaks.

Did the Canisius rest their players or did they come at us hard?

From what I could tell they played their skaters but did put in the back up goalie.

Re: >>>>> RIT TIGERS - Final Game at Ritter/Playoffs <<<<<

The team that showed up and dominated last night was not the same team that has been at Ritter all season. I don't know if it was the emotion of the night, or having Garbowsky back, or some combination of both...but the way we played last night makes me think we can definitely make some noise here in the playoffs. With a their captain back and a winstreak in hand, I think they finally believe in themselves.
