Anyone else feel like something's been missing...?

Yes... Fun

... and apparently, Canisius. They've played 4 games so far. Yikes. If they (and/or SHU, ftm) get a bye or home ice in the conference tournament based on winning percentage with so many fewer games played, there's just something intuitively wrong with that.
Of course that's assuming there even is a post season this year.

With this weekend's game with RMU and next weeks with Mercyhurst postponed, the next up would be Canisius on the 29th. The only AH teams to play the last couple of weeks seem to be Army and AIC. at this point why bother with a post season.

So now I'm confused. If RIT, with reportedly Zero Covid issues, must postpone games against RMU and MU, how is it that RMU and MU were ok to play each other this weekend?
Is the decision to play or not up to the schools involved and not the conference? Was RIT saying "No, we can't play you if you have X number of positive tests in your program." while RMU and MU said "Screw that, it's fine." ? You think there should be some conference wide standards to determine this stuff.

So, I wonder who got sick after last night's game?

really sucks to have to take another break as the Tigers have played really well the last two games. Might have been something they could have built off for the rest of the season.

Ahhh, was looking forward to the 205pm Hawaii puck drop. Hope there is news soon as to what happened this time.

Future USCHO HEADLINE, AIC advances to NCAAs as only team to qualify for post season play......

Canisius has played only five games this year, by far the lowest in AHC, and one of the lowest in the NCAA. So, it has to be asked -- what is it that Canisius is doing wrong that's causing so many of their games to be cancelled?

Maybe they have more of an "abundance of caution" than anyone else. Then again, we're probably all so sick of that phrase, maybe it's something else.

Funny how the NJ Devils played the Buffalo Sabres, then revealed that two of their players were under COVID protocol, while the same weekend CC played RIT then subsequently cancelled the next contest a mere three days later. Hmmm. Something going on at the Key Bank and Harbor Centers? (I realize the CC-RIT game was at the GPC, but nonetheless)

Great weekend for the Tigers. Adriano was great Friday night while the Tigers got their footing and while I didn't see Saturday's game (aside from RMU's 2nd goal) it looks like he was at least passable there. Looks like they're gonna ride him with Drackett really struggling this year.

With tonights game with Niagara, and both of the remaining womens games postponed, is it safe to assume that the Tigers may have played their last games this season?

What "don't" you know? Wink wink
Seems like XCTiger is correct in calling the season!

Since the men's team had games against two different opponents cancelled, and the women's teams had games against two different opponents cancelled, all this week, it sounds like the onus is on RIT this time.

But Mercyhurst (RIT's would-be Saturday opponent) also had games against two different opponents cancelled, so....
Who knows? All they say is AHA Covid protocols, never singling out the school with the issue.

Maybe the AHA playoff championship won't be decided on the ice, but in the testing labs. Whoever can play is crowded, and moves on to the NCAAs. ;->

And I never would want the AHA to single out any school.

But it doesn't mean I can't try... :-)

Don't laugh. The NCAA has already said for basketball, at a certain point, the bracket is locked down and no games will be delayed. You can't play, your opponent moves on.
