Here's the release from the league: http://atlantichockeyonline.com/new...breaker-scenario-update-february-27-2019.aspx

RIT needs to win tomorrow to finish above 5th, plus they need a Sacred Heart loss to finish above the Pioneers and an Air Force loss or tie to finish above the Falcons. RIT will know where they stand against SHU before tomorrow's game, as AIC and Sacred Heart play in Springfi

Doesn't a tie and an Air Force loss get them to 4th?

If Sacred Heart wins, either RIT goes to Air Force, or the Falcons come to Rochester.

From the "For what it' worth" files: Going into today, RIT was the highest ranked Atlantic Hockey team in Pairwise.

Helps that 5 of the 6 non-conference games we played were either against tournament teams or teams that are on the bubble (UMass Lowell is just on the outside looking in after their loss to UNH last night). And that, unlike AIC, they won 2 OOC games.

Yes. 4-1 AIC win. RIT controls its destiny for home ice.

Sacred Heart holds the tiebreaker advantage, so if either RIT or Air Force tie, then Sacred Heart will be the better seed.

So:
3rd = win and Air Force tie or loss
4th = win and Air Force win, tie and Air Force loss
5th = loss

Re: >>> RIT Tigers 2018/2019 - Time For The Tigers to Roar <<<

Further:

RIT win + Air Force win = RIT hosts Sacred Heart as 4 seed

RIT tie/loss + Air Force win = RIT travels to Sacred Heart as 5 seed

RIT tie/loss + Air Force tie = RIT travels to Air Force as 5 seed

RIT tie + Air Force loss = RIT hosts Air Force as 4 seed

RIT loss + Air Force loss = RIT travels to Air Force as 5 seed

Well that sucks.

Bit by the 3rd period fog, and an inability to put the puck in the net. At least they won't go out in the 1st round this year.
