>>> RIT Tigers - 2013 Offseason: The Future Looks Bright <<<

Re: >>> RIT Tigers - 2013 Offseason: The Future Looks Bright <<<

That being said... would an outside group, say RIT alumni, be able to pay athletes to play for RIT? I'm pretty sure the answer is no, but I'm curious of any potential loop holes.

No.

Re: >>> RIT Tigers - 2013 Offseason: The Future Looks Bright <<<

I was curious. I know other schools have major sports alumni 'boosters'. Though I'm sure they more directly give money to their schools.

Paying directly to the athletes is how many of those big programs get into big trouble with the NCAA :)

Re: >>> RIT Tigers - 2013 Offseason: The Future Looks Bright <<<

Answer: 3-12-8 All-time, 1-10-6 Division I. While being 0-8-4 at Dwyer.

RIT record against Niagara is mind boggling. You can tell every time they play it is not a game that Burkholder takes for granted. The teams have been very evenly matched for years and that why the number of ties is not surprising, but it is unexplainable how so many of games that have not ended in ties have gone for Niagara. We will have to see where Niagara is this coming season, they lost a big piece in net...

Doubt it. Noonan did a fine just shutting us down the year before, and Niagara has owned us for longer than Chubak has even been in school.

Well Noonan did have one trouble with an RIT shot...

Listen how Burkholder summed up the rivalry after the game...

Do we have any theories as to what the hell has caused our inability to win? Is it their coaching style? Is it .... I don't even know what to suggest. What is it??

Yes Blame Wayne Wilson, anyone want to start a fire Wayne Wilson Thread?? :D

Apparently it's the cool thing to do on USCHO now..

You could always take it a step further and create an account specifically for it. You'd have to make sure your troll skills are top notch, though... :p:D

Like the University of Miami......not working out too well for them.

That is nothing new, its called the off season. Plenty of time to do nothing but complain... Then again that is how some on here post all the time...

For those who may not have seen it, here's Ruby's new mask, taken directly from his Facebook.

Personally I'm not a fan, it's a little too...religious for my tastes, though the stained glass Tiger is neat. But I suppose it makes sense given he's a mennonite, so good on him for personalizing it and not shying away from his beliefs.

Relgious beliefs aside, that's an awesome design. It's even better that he put his nickname on it.

Maybe Holy Cross will get confused and score in the wrong goal.

Re: >>> RIT Tigers - 2013 Offseason: The Future Looks Bright <<<

It would be my educated guess that we will have an announcement of the incoming freshman class today. (Past 2 years this information has been released on 5/31)

Shouldn't we also have a schedule by now if we're going by past years?

Actually, if you look at Mar's link in the 2013 \ 2014 Schedule thread, it's been June and July the last few years.

He provided a link to the data on the current last page of that thread.

Last year, AHA released a composite schedule on May 4th.
