>>> RIT Tigers - 2013 Offseason: The Future Looks Bright <<<

Re: >>> RIT Tigers - 2013 Offseason: The Future Looks Bright <<<

They are all also RIT athletic teams that have not been afforded the same opportunity to a "positive experience" as the Men's Hockey team. Why shouldn't they as well?

They are not Division I teams. That's good enough in my book.

So......you're saying that prior to last year, the women's team did not deserve the same level of support?

Sorry Winters, I couldn't help myself.

I'll keep quiet till September now, Summer Well!:D

I think it's fair to say we're all in favor of you and Matt both taking your **** elseware. Thank you, good day.
Or elsewhere, for that matter.

But seriously...If you don't like our debate, don't read it.
It's only bothering you if you choose to let it.

Really??
I was just trying to make a point, not seriously suggesting any of those things happen.

Hear, Hear!
Come on... All three of you have been on here long enough to know that this is typical off-season banter (or nonsense, depending on your angle). There's nothing else to discuss about now. I suggest those that can't handle it wait until October then tune back in when most of the talk is actually about the hockey games.

Re: >>> RIT Tigers - 2013 Offseason: The Future Looks Bright <<<

Call me ignorant, but has there been any talks of RIT offering scholarships in the future, or staying its course with aid.

And i don't like seeing the schedule not having a Midwest tour. would have been fine with W. Michigan, Notre Dame, or Wisconsin....Thats driving distance from Chicago.

The only way they can offer [athletic] scholarships would be to bring the whole athletic dept to Division I. As a Div III school, they can't give scholarships, even in their Div I sports. They can still give athletes the same scholarships that non-athletes are entitled too, on the same criteria.

You could copy my strategy: plan a skiing and RIT v AFA trip for this Feb.

I'm totally fine with the typical off-season banter and I was reading through it myself with an interest and opinion until both of you had your sides of the argument made quite clear and you were pretty much just beating your own respective dead horses, if you will.

Edit: terrible grammar.

It worked out pretty well when we did it two seasons ago. The main problem is that Co Springs is a bit far away from the Western Ski resorts. What we ended up doing was skiing Thur, Fri, Sat, and went down for the Sat night game.

You know, thats a pretty good idea. May have to push for that one.

If my whole 2 posts are considered "beating a dead horse", then so be it. I've seen much worse.

I still can't get that stream to work from my office... and by the time I'm home it's dark there. So I guess I'll never see the construction.

If you haven't been on campus to look or haven't checked out the webcam lately, a lot of foundation work has been done and is continuing for the Polisseni Center: http://www.rit.edu/development/giving/powerplay/webcam.php

How about first thing in the morning?

Re: >>> RIT Tigers - 2013 Offseason: The Future Looks Bright <<<

Am I the only one worried with the new center, we'll have serious issues with parking for gametime? Those who attend games from off-campus would be less enthusiastic about attending during a good-sized snow event if they had to walk all the way from S-Lot and the usual parking north of Ritter? The only good "solution" I could see is a parking garage adjacent to the center to the south, but that would bring up ground issues with all the swampland surrounding it.

On a good note, I can now see where the Rink itself is located in the construction cam. Thats great to see.
